Jinx Matchups Overview
Jinx General information
Try and synchronise your E with your Supports CC to chain CC the enemy in lane. This will make it very difficult for the enemy to escape or trade back with you.
If you’re not able to get kills in your own lane, try and use your Ultimate R to snipe low health enemies in other lanes.
The best place to throw your E is directly under you when the enemy engages. Throwing it towards the enemy can be a mistake as it may not prime itself and they may just walk past it. By throwing it under you, the enemy will either walk into it or be forced to disengage.
Every combo you need to master the champion!
If you want to use the most popular Jinx Bot build, you should take Flash and Ghost as your Summoner Spells. For runes, you should pick Lethal Tempo as your keystone, followed by Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline and Coup de Grace in the primary tree, as well as Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm in the secondary tree. For rune shards, you want Attack Speed in offense, Adaptive Force in flex and Armor in defense, though it depends on the matchup. Finally, for your items, you should build Kraken Slayer as your first item, followed by Berserker's Greaves and Infinity Edge. For your last 3 items, you should build Rapid Firecannon, Lord Dominik's Regards and finish with Guardian Angel. For the skill order, you want to stick with Q - W - E. Right now, this build has 54.1% winrate over 6 449 matches played.
If you're looking for alternatives, you can use Flash and Ghost as your Summoner Spells, with runes being Fleet Footwork as your keystone, Presence of Mind, Legend: Bloodline and Coup de Grace in the primary tree, and Absolute Focus with Gathering Storm in the secondary tree, as well as Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Armor as your rune shards. The items that this build incorporates are Kraken Slayer as your first item, then Berserker's Greaves as a second item and Infinity Edge as a third item. You want to finish the build with Rapid Firecannon, Lord Dominik's Regards and Guardian Angel. As far as ability max order goes, you want to keep it Q - W - E. This build is currently sitting at a 51.2% win rate across 168 matches played.
Situational Jinx Runes and Items
Depending on the context of your game, your matchup, and enemy champions, you might want to consider building some situational items or take specific runes. Carefully examine your team, enemy team, game state , and your matchup to plan your Jinx build accordingly! For example, when it comes to rune shards, you might want to take either Armor or Magic Resist, depending on which champion you are about to lane against.
