Reroll Guide - How to Salt & Who to Reroll For

What is Rerolling?

Rerolling your account can improve your initial experience in gacha games, and it’s no different in Arknights: Endfield. But is it worth it?

For those new to gacha games, rerolling is the process of creating new accounts to spend the starting currency and try to get rare or desired characters. This involves playing tutorials and introductory missions multiple times and is really time consuming, especially in Arknights: Endfield, which has a story heavy epilogue that you can’t skip.

Should You Reroll?

The answer depends on how much time you’re willing to spend doing it and how much you want a specific character, but for most players, we do not recommend rerolling.

It takes too long to go through the initial missions to unlock the Gacha System (around 35min if you skip most dialogue/cutscenes) and the time spent creating new accounts can be used to progress through the game and get more pulls. But if you still want to go through it or want to know what to aim for, scroll down for more information about the process!

Standard vs Limited Reroll

For those who want to have the "best" start possible, this would require rolling on the Limited Banner for Laevatain (or Gilberta / Yvonne depending on when you're reading this). However, because you get so little Limited pulls early in the game, this process would take an excruciating amount of time.

As such, we recommend rerolling on the Beginner Banner, which guarantees one of five 6-Star Standard Operators. With this, you have some freedom of choice without spending too much time.

How to Reroll

Since you need to create an account in order to play the game, the reroll process requires multiple emails for each time you decide to reroll. The good news is that if you get bored of rerolling or just decide to give up, you can pick one of the previously created accounts and stick to it.

  1. Create a new account and log in to the game.
  2. Do all the required quests until the gacha system is unlocked (Return to the surface after defeating the Landbreaker Chief).
  3. Get all currency from events/mailbox.
  4. Do your rolls and see if you can get an early or desired character.
  5. (Optional) Keep progressing through the game to get more pulls.
  6. Log out and repeat back from Step 1.

As you can see the whole process is simple, but it takes a lot of time. The amount of pulls is also not great so you’re relying on a big hit to get a 6-Star Operator.

Salted Emails

If you use Google Mail, you have access to "salted" emails. This lets you use periods (.) to create multiple unique emails that all send to the same inbox. With this method, you can register for Endfield with many emails, but have it all send to the same inbox.

For example, let's say my email is "[email protected]"

I can use salted emails to register with these emails:

Which Operator to Reroll for?

There are a total of 5 Standard 6-Star Operators in Arknights: Endfield

Ardelia Ember Last Rite Lifeng Pogranichnik

You can check out our Tier List for a more in-depth analysis of the Beta 2 meta, but in this article, we'll give a brief overview of each Standard 6-Star, what they're good for, and why you might want to reroll for them.

All of them are useful and will help you progress through the game more easily. Below you’ll find a quick overview of all Standard Operators and what value they provide for you:

Ardelia*

Ardelia is easily the best Standard Operator in the game as she provides massive utility for any Operator, either Physical or Arts damage dealers. She’s also completely self-reliant and can trigger these buffs in any team, making her a really flexible pick for any team.

  • Increase both Physical and Arts Damage.
  • Can apply Corrosion on enemies.
  • Great healing output.
  • Debuffs are single-target only.

HOWEVER, Ardelia is being given out for free as a Launch Celebration Event. If you end up rerolling for Ardelia, you’ll end up with her Potential 1, which is great, but most players will want to expand their roster rather than invest vertically so early on.

Pogranichnik

Pogranichnik is a Vanguard Operator with good synergy with Physical Characters. Both Endministrator(the Main Character) and Chen Qianyu are free Physical Units, so Pogranichnik can add some great value for your account without requiring any other Operator.

  • Great SP generation
  • Can consume Vulnerable Stacks to increase the Physical Damage of your team
  • Really cool animations
  • Competes (a little bit) with the Endministrator
  • Value is diminished outside of Physical Teams
  • Arguably the best Standard 6-Star for Physical Teams

Ember

Ember is a generalist tank/support that can protect and heal your team. She has synergies with Physical support, but can’t make use of Vulnerable Stacks.

  • Flexible support
  • Can tank enemies and sustain herself through skills
  • Can apply Vulnerable stacks
  • Not necessarily a Physical Support as her Ult and Battle Skill deals Arts Damage
  • Not a great damage dealer
  • Deals extra Stagger

Lifeng

Lifeng on paper sounds great for Physical teams, and you already own at least two other Physical Units, making him an amazing option for you. In practice, he’s competing for Chen’s slot on your team, with slightly more “complex” gameplay (more strict rotations), but more damage potential than Chen.

  • Initial Units already synergizes with Lifeng
  • Great Vulnerable application
  • Can apply Physical Susceptibility
  • Combo Skill has strict requirements
  • Ultimate requires proper setup
  • Has a similar role to Chen on your team

Meta TLDR

  • Reroll for Last Rite or Pogranichnik
    • If you go for Last Rite, make sure to obtain her Weapon, Khravengger, as it performs much better than the next best option. (Everyone gets a 6-Star Weapon Selector as well)
  • Ember / Lifeng are both fine for Physical Teams but aren't expected to be the best option
  • Ardelia Potential 1 is good, but new players ideally want to expand roster early on

Closing Words

When rerolling, my personal recommendation is getting a character you enjoy rather than a “meta” character. Keep in mind that none of the options above are “bad” and you won’t brick your account if you end up getting one of them.

All operators are great as Arknights: Endfield is a game that focuses on Teams instead of the Individual Performance of each Operator.
