Overview

The Stockade is an Alliance Dungeon located in Stormwind City. Horde can also do this Dungeon but getting to it can be quite tricky, especially on a PvP server. Being inside a main city this is a great Dungeon to grind for experience, as it's very easy to assemble a group and get in there.

Level Range: 24-30

Tragorr the Dread

This boss can spawn in any room throughout the first corridor. He has no real mechanics, he's just a stronger mob in the dungeon.

Dextren Ward

Dextren Ward is always in the furthest part of the West Corridor in one of the 3 rooms at the end. He has no real mechanics, he's just a stronger mob in the dungeon..

Kam Deepfury

Kam is always located in the East wing of this Dungeon, You'll find him 2 rooms deep on the left side of the east Corridor. He has no real mechanics, he's just a stronger mob in the dungeon.

Hamhock

Hamhock is in the far side of the East Corridor in the middle of the main room. He will always pull with the 2 prisoners by his side. You can Sap or Polymorph one of his guards if you have a Rogue or Mage in your party, if not just kill his allies quickly then focus him down. He can cast Chain Lightning and is one of the more threatening bosses in this Dungeon.

Bazil Thredd

Bazil Thredd is in the furthest room of the East Corridor. He will always pull with his 2 closest Prisoners just like Hamhock. He has a stun so make sure the healer is keeping people healthy during the fight. He's the highest level enemy in this Dungeon and it's very common for people to get too close to him and pull him by accident. It's smart to clear the rooms to the left and right of him first so you have as much room as possible when fighting him. Just make sure someone low level doesn't pull him by accident and it should go fine. Same as with hamhock you can try to have a Rogue Sap or a Mage Polymorph one of the Prisoners. Just be prepared for them to accidently start the encounter if they get too close to attempt this.

Bruegal Ironknuckle

Bruegal Ironknuckle is a rare spawn that isn't in every run of The Stockade. He can spawn in any room so keep your eyes open and don't miss a chance to kill him. Unfortunately he's the one who drops the best loot! He has no real mechanics, he's just a stronger mob in the dungeon.

Notable Encounters

  • The enemies in here can Rend, Disarm and Stun you.
  • Prisoners will attempt to flee when at low health and will very often go and aggro other packs of prisoners. In general they all have a huge aggro radius and it's very easy to end up pulling a lot more than you bargained for. Pull packs of mobs away form others, move through slowly and make sure you don't end up trying to fight 8 prisoners at once.
  • There are multiple patrolling prisoners in The Stockade, keep an eye out for them and don't let them sneak upon you when you're already in battle.

Tips & Tricks

  • Don't stand at the entrance afk for too long, sometimes prisoners will escape and can swarm and kill you!
  • Be careful when you fight "bosses" in this Dungeon. If you pull them and an entire room of Prisoners it may be difficult. Make sure you clear any rooms around them, and the hallway so you don't end up pulling even more prisoners into the encounters. Kill any prisoners that pull with bosses first then focus them down.
  • There are always 2 Treasure Chests in The Stockade.
