Playstyle

The Dragons are the eighth Hero to be released in The Bazaar, following Karnok as the second entirely new reveal (others were known before launch).

This musical duo introduces the Tempo mechanic into the game, along with a new type of board socket, Notes. These provide a passive 10% CDR to any items that match their type.

While their initial board positioning is random, anyone with a musical background will be able to identify their patterns (C, D, E, F, G, A, B).

Finally, to no surprise, several of their items are based around timing. It's up to us to maximize their effects and finish on a high note!

Note: In this guide we'll be covering a few of The Dragons' signature aspects but with over 100 items per character there are many more ways to build them.

How to Unlock The Dragons

The Dragons is one of The Bazaar's DLC Heroes and can be purchased for $20 USD.

Dragons

While "The Dragons" may not be actual Dragons, they still have a large number of items that are built around the theme. Many of them work independently to support your board, but some stand out as obvious build-arounds.

Example Items

Scorch

Scorch is one of the few real Dragons of The Bazaar, and is naturally built with spectacular Burn scaling. Put together all the low Cooldown Dragon and/or Burn items, and you get a strong threat for longer fights.

Superfan

Superfan loves being at the center of Dragon builds, as he can easily become a Multicasting machine when around them. He fits perfectly with Dragon Statue and Maracas, creating an insane amount of triggers to scale via skills (ex. Sharp Corners, Endurance).

Event Poster

Event Poster helps make non-Dragons into honorary Dragons, while also providing Charge support for the board. It's especially useful with items like Visor which spam insanely fast, allowing it to proc Draconic Resolve and other similar effects.

Slow

The Dragons are definitely no stranger to Slows, both in application and payoff. Right from Day 1 you can find a number of great pieces, helping to control the pacing and get ahead in combat.

Example Items

Tuba

Tuba can apply an insane amount of Slows (up to six on a single item!), assuming you have a dedicated source of Tempo. Not only is that a crazy amount of triggers, but it's also a huge source of disruption that will delay opposing boards. Also, shoutout to its friends Light Drone and ISO-Belle!

Bass

Bass is the centerpiece of the "Slow Jam" archetype, giving you a powerful payoff that converts Slows into Damage. It has a respectably fast Cooldown for a scaleable Weapon, making it a reliable threat that can keep up the pressure.

Flame Skirt

Flame Skirt is The Dragons' very own medium-sized Lighthouse, which should probably speak for itself. The Slow Burn archetype is a classic at this point, and there's no denying its presence on this stage.

Tempo

The Tempo mechanic is a key part of The Dragons' item pool, offering a new resource that can be spent for great effects. However, just like in music it's all about balance. If you do too much of one thing the timing will be thrown off, so be sure to make adjustments when necessary!

Black Lipstick

Black Lipstick is an excellent way to kick off the Tempo game plan, ensuring your items can utilize their special effects from the get-go. Oftentimes the first activation is more important than the rest, so having an immediate boost is always helpful.

Disco Drone

Disco Drone can be a flexible slot-in to many boards, even without a dedicated Tempo setup. While its Tempo spend cost is relatively high, if you aren't including other spenders, it provides a valuable board-wide Charge effect. And if you are supporting, it becomes all the more reliable.

Drag Racer

Drag Racer showcases what you can do with a LOT of Tempo. Forget spending Tempo for support, this is an outright Damage-doubler. While you'll certainly need the right components to line it up nicely, if properly aligned, it'll absolutely take over.
