Welcome to our trait guide, where we'll be covering the Invoker trait in the new TFT Set 18: Enchanted Wilds. In this guide, we'll explain how Invoker works, cover its different champions, explore Invoker Meta Comps, and provide a quick summary of the other potential traits you could branch into.
Invoker Meta Comps
Invoker helps both your carries and tanks cast more often, with natural links to Coven and Riftbeast. An Emblem opens up more carry options, letting another champion benefit from the trait’s stronger Mana Regen.
Here are a few comps that play around the Invoker trait.
Bloom and Doom
Bloom and Doom pairs Ahri with Morgana, while Ancient Sentinel and Pebbles add more Invokers. The Mana Regen helps Ahri cast, with Sett and Sentinel protecting your backline.
Karma can hold your AP items in a Blossom opener, or you can start Coven and use Cassiopeia. Push to level 8 for Ahri, Morgana, Sett and Sentinel, keeping your upgraded frontline units while you transition.
An Invoker Emblem on Ahri is a strong enough reason to play this comp, letting you prioritise damage items instead of Spear of Shojin. Branching Out can help you find one, while early Rods and Gloves give you useful carry components.
Mana Go Brrr uses Morgana for AP damage, Brambleback for AD and Ancient Sentinel as its tank. Kog’Maw adds Invoker plus Sunder and Shred, with Alune joining as your late game carry.
A Coven opener with Cassiopeia holding your AP items works well, though Karma with Blossom is another option. Roll at level 8 for Morgana, Brambleback and Sentinel before adding Alune later.
An Invoker Emblem on Alune opens up 5 Invoker once you add Pebbles. Patient Study supports your levelling plan, while early Morgana or Ancient Sentinel copies gives you a direction to play this or the Bloom and Doom board.
Pebbles begins consuming max mana per second and channels a laser on the target. Each second, it deals damage and reduces their magic resistance. With the Teal buff, Pebbles gains mana regen for each second channelled.
Teemo throws clusters of mushrooms that deal magic damage to enemies. Each cast has a chance to forage an extra mushroom that can provide bonus effects.
Kog’Maw launches acid at the two nearest enemies, and when they’re below a certain percentage of health, they take physical damage instead. With the Adaptor bonus, he also deals damage over time. Kog’Maw can be strong and useful as his ability shreds and sunders enemies.
Gain a shield, slam the ground and send a fissure in the direction of most enemies. Enemies hit are knocked up. With Blue Buff, each time Sential casts, the allies gain mana regen.
Morgana’s Passive provides her with omnivamp, which will heal her over time. The Active fires a blast, cursing enemies. She then spawns a hex that deals damage, with cursed enemies taking more damage.
