Build Overview

Hellllo Internet, this is my Perma Vaal Earthquake Autobomber for the 3.27 Keepers of the Flame League.

This build is a Direct Upgrade to my previous Ignite Sunder Slam character, majority of the gear and offence scaling is the same so if you were already playing that, you're almost all set to upgrade to this.

The Build Summarized:

The build gets most of it's damage by scaling the effect of non damaging ailments, while using Vaal Earthquake and the new Chaos bloodline to get full uptime on it's uses, allowing for a no button shockwave playstyle that deals damage in big explosions and miniwaves every time your character moves.

This is not the Highest damage this build can currently get, it's not using all the awakened gems and is still using for Ailment immunity. I will update this page with the final awakened version in a few days.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Very smooth no button fast mapping playstyle
  • Very easy to gear and cap all resistances with block cap from the passive tree
  • Very tanky with massive ES regen and damage mitigation auras
  • Very budget friendly and can transition into many endgame builds
  • Bad scaling, hits a wall for damage output.
  • Single target damage for t17 maps with alot of tanky mods can feel low on the boss.

Build Variants

This setup involves swapping to 2 tamings, and using a tincture as one of the final flask slots, as well as swapping out the quicksilver and quartz flasks for resistance flasks. I mostly use this setup when im farming pinnacle bosses, or content thats VERY rippy like simulacrums or mega juiced up harvest or boxes in t17s.

Note:
The Tincture will ONLY be equipped when you enter the boss room. Refer to the Maximizing DPS Section of the video guide for a visual representation of how to maximize your dps.

There are some very crucial breakpoints to hit on your gear before you can swap to this build.

MANA RESERVATION BREAKPOINT:
This is CRITICAL to the build to be able to reserve all the auras and still have mana to cast. Please refer to the timestamped section of the video where this is explained in depth.


The setups for Maximum Tank and Single target and the Maximum clear speed are the same, except for the Ring, the flasks, and the one very optional Inspired Learning jewel that I personally dont like that much.


CRAFTING GUIDE FOR ALL THE GEAR:
The way to Self-craft all the gear will heavily involve the Genesis tree or Fractured bases.

STAFF:
Refer to the Crafting Section of the video to know about how to craft your staff for this version.
Use this trade link. The higher the tier you get the better, but gauge it based off your own budget. The Fractured mod priority is:

Lightning

If for whatever reason high tier fractured bases all disappear and get bought out, you can make your own using the genesis tree and this recipe. It's very hard though to get a staff out of the tree like this.

Suffixes dont Really matter since youre fully res capping with the rings and the flasks, but getting 1 res is good to convert it to fire res for more regen.

JEWELS:

You need ONE Jewel with 10% Maximum Mana on it, along with any other desired mods on the jewel in this order of importance:

Fire damage over time Multiplier
Damage over time multiplier
Increased Minion Damage
Increased Fire damage
Increased Burning Damage
Increased Damage over time
Increased Damage

You also need ONE Jewel with 2% Mana reservation efficiency. Ideally get this on a Corrupted Blood immunity implicit jewel, you can try to aim for other good mods on this too but primarily just get those.

The Remaining Jewels:
- Get Fractured Damaging Ailments Deal Damage Faster, Can be on a Cobalt Jewel or a Crimson Jewel
- Reforge Fire on the Harvest Bench until you hit Fire damage over time Multiplier
- You can stop there, or keep clicking reforge until you hit Fire damage over time multiplier And another useful mod together with it.

CLUSTER JEWELS:

You want 2 primordial bond minion damage clusters. You can either use this trade link to buy them off trade:

Or you can get any 8 passive minion damage cluster jewel base, and Reforge Life on the harvest bench until you hit Primordial Bond. You have to hit it with either Raze and Pillage, Renewal, or Rotten Claws.

If Feasting Friends or Skeletal Atrophy is on your cluster then Primordial bond would be in the wrong spot, always, so if you see that on there just know you have to roll over it.

MEGALOMANIAC:

You ONLY want to get Overlord, and Nothing Else matters. Dont overpay for another mod just get a single mod Overlord megalo and call it a day.

The Arkhon's Tools:
You need to get a 20% Mana Reservation Efficiency NON Corrupted one, then Use 20 Fertile Catalysts to make it 24% Mana reservation efficiency, then you have to Vaal it to corrupt it so that you have 4 corrupted items equipped for the Chaos Bloodline Ascendancy to work. (Refer to the How It Plays section for more details on that, or the video guide the relevant section is timestamped)

The Taming
Prioritize high rolls of Inc elemental damage with hits and ailments per elemental ailment on the enemy. Dont get baited by people selling rings that have quality catalysts on them inflating the number, just buy the base ring and quality it yourself. You need these to be CORRUPTED too, you can either corrupt them yourself or buy them already corrupted, just make sure if they're corrupted that they have already been qualitied up.

If Ring is expensive to get with high rolls on it, you can make one yourself using the Taming Recipe.
Get a Berek's Grip, a Berek's Pass and a Berek's Respite ring and vendor them all together to get back a Taming ring.

Berek's Respite
You want to get the Foulborn version of this, the one that makes ignited enemies you kill explode. Follow this trade link for it:

Presence of Chayula
You want to get a Presence of Chayula, in the new breach league this is an extremely common unique. This will cap your chaos res, give you stun immunity so you can switch your pantheon, and a bunch of life into ES. Since you're reserving most of your life anyway, converting some of that Max life into ES is beneficial in every way. and stun immunity feels amazing.
Annoint this with Enigmatic defense for even more block chance. Your timeless jewel mod can also hit this annoint and give you some extra stuff.

TIMELESS JEWEL:
A Brutal Restraint Timeless Jewel with Balbala as it's type.
Balbala Keystone is called the Traitor, and it gives you flask charges based on how many empty flask slots you currently have.

The desired mods to look for on this jewel would be:
%minion damage
%elemental damage
%movement speed
%effect of non curse auras

The NECESSARY Mod on the jewel:
Onslaught for 8 seconds on kill.
This makes mapping feel 1000000000x smoother. If nothing else, just get a balbala jewel with this mod on any of the nearby allocated passives.

FLASKS:
Maximum Tank Flasks:
With that keystone, we use 3 Resistance flasks to get +5 max resistances, and easily cap out our resistances too, overcapping all of them. The ruby flask is the Corruscating Elixir, refer down below as to what that is for. You need Your Topaz and Sapphire Flask to have any ONE of these prefixes:

Atleast 33% in order to have full 100% uptime on them.

The suffixes can be anything but I like to use:
Crafted Suffix of 3% regen
%increased armour during effect

Maximum Clear Speed Flasks:
A quicksilver and a Quartz flask. The prefixes for these will be the same as above, get as much charge recovery or duration or reduced charges as possible. These will not have full uptime but since this is a mapping focused setup killing things will keep these flasks up all the time for extra speed and qol.

Suffixes I would suggest movement speed during effect, and additional elemental res.

Coruscating Elixir
This is what allows us to fully reserve almost all our life, and not randomly die to a tiny splash of chaos damage. This is better than going CI in most cases since it lets you use your life as a resource to reserve more auras, instead of CI which turns your life to 1.

Refer to the How It Plays section to see notes about why we go Low Life.

Tincture:
You may notice that the pob shows 4 things in the flask slot, you will not actually have 4 things there you will only ever have 3 things in your flask slots at all times. The tincture is something you will Swap into if you want more single target damage, primarily for pinnacle bosses. I only do this if the boss does only 1 or 2 types of damage, so i keep those 2 types of flasks on, and replace the 3rd with the tincture.

Make sure Arrogance is only linked to Vitality, Flesh and Stone and Herald of Thunder Only.
DO NOT LEVEL YOUR VITALITY GEM ABOVE LVL 9-10.

Guardian's Blessing Malevolence is Only used for pinnacle bosses, otherwise the Stone horde golems just give more damage from the Primordial Bond Clusters.

The Stone Golem of Hordes skill gem allows you to summon 2 Extra golems of that particular type. so in total you will have your 4 big golems, and 2 of these baby golems summoned at all times.

Blood rage is NOT Socketed into the staff, it is Granted by the Suffix mod on the staff which provides level 1 blood rage.

How it Plays

The build focuses around using Golems and the Elementalist Ascendancy to scale alot of it's damage without needing to invest in gear or the passive tree. This combined with using 2 The Taming rings and the new The Arkhon's Tools belt makes each of those rings give upto ~180% Increased Damage with hits and ailments, since enemies have a total of 4 ailments on them: Chill, Shock, Scorch and our ignite.

The Autobomber Part of the build focuses around using Vaal Earthquake, which creates mini shockwaves around you as you walk, these mini cracks aren't the source of the damage but using them, combined with Shaper of Flames which makes all damage ignite + the Foulborn variant of Berek's Respite which makes ignited enemies explode, it makes it a very comfortable no button playstyle. The Foulborn ring is not Needed for this, it just makes the autobomber experience feel much smoother, since without that you will be relying on the mini cracks Exploding with a delay to clear packs instead of them popping immediately with the Ring + Herald of Ash.

The Chaos Bloodline is how we get permenant uptime on Vaal earthquake using the Shephard of Souls notable on the ascendancy. You get your chaos bloodline by killing the Ultimatum boss. This guy is a joke to kill. Just get a t14 white map, use an Ultimatum Scarab of Dueling and it will guarantee that the last wave of ultimatum will be the boss. Kill him then speak to him and he will give you the bloodline.

The build also goes LOW LIFE. This is done so that we can use our life as a resource to reserve more auras for the build. Since we are scaling alot of ES, and converting our regen to ES, life doesnt do much anymore and lets us use it for better things. The Coruscating Elixir helps us not die to chaos damage at such low life numbers but high ES numbers.

The defenses of the build are all baked into getting block capped with the staff, having a v high ES pool, and some armour to help push that ES regen higher using Divine Shield which gives us ES regen based on how much physical damage mitigated recently.

FAQ:

1 - Why Can't I reserve all my Auras and also be able to cast flammability?

You need 24% mana reserv on the belt, 8% on the helm, 2-3% on a jewel, and 8-10% Maximum Mana on another jewel. This will give you 50 unreserved mana to be able to cast flammability.


2 - My Single Target Feels Low.

This build isn't meant to be a single target destroying powerhouse, its meant to be a very beefy and fast mapper at a very low budget, but do make sure you have all of this to do as much single target as possible:

Tincture, Good jewels, 20% quality on Vaal EQ, Grafts with %inc fire damage on a Call the Pyre skill graft that applies ash on hit, +dot multi on the Hardening Uulgraft, and a good staff.


3 - My DPS in POB is low

Please do not look at POB dps until you know how to Config your pob. Config it according to mine, or import your gear on top of my pob to check dps numbers properly.


3 - Is my staff good?

T1 chaos is = t3 cold.

Attack speed Does NOT mean good dps. It inflates the dps number by alot. If you want to know the actual dps of a staff, take the average of all the flat damage rolls and add them together, That is the dps of your staff. If you dont want to math just take your staff and put it into my main pob and see how much of a difference it makes.


4 - I AM DYING TO CHAOS DAMAGE I HAVE MY FLASK UP WHAT IS HAPPENING?

You dont have your flask up. Everyone who's had this issue realized oh wai- my flask wasnt up because of XYZ reason. Make sure you have all of this:

Corruscating Elixir with 20% Quality, Balbala Timeless jewel, Only 3 flask slots filled up (tincture also counts, you only put that on for t17 and pinnacles), "REUSED AT THE END OF FLASK EFFECT" Enchant on the flask, and That you manually activate it and all your other flasks at the start of the map, then they will go on forever.

Also please check the map mods regex in the continued post underneath this, certain map mods can also kill you like the "Monsters remove %life, ES and mana" since you are low life that will instantly kill you when it removes life.

5 - My ES Isn't recovering to full.

Divine shield prevents ES from going above how much armour you have. if you have too much es and not enough armour this will happen. In my original POB i did not have enough armour by default, but %inc armour on flask suffix, + the Gain 800 armour when you block staff node pushes it way above ES always.


6 - I don't have souls for Vaal earthquake what am i doing wrong?

You need to only use the skill once every 9 seconds, if you spam it you will run out of souls. You also need the Chaos Bloodline, and 4 corrupted items equipped. (CORRUPTED ITEMS CAN NOT BE JEWELS GEMS OR FLASKS, It has to be EQUIPMENT) (And check written guide on how to get chaos bloodline)


7 - How do I acquire the gear?

Gear acquisition is varied. I used the tree for my helmet gloves boots and body armour, and self crafted my jewels and my staff.
