Cyclone /
Cyclone of Tumult is a very easy league starter that can carry you into T16's with little to no currency! What's even better is that it continues to scale really well into Endgame with some more Investment. The more currency, the higher it'll scale (duh)!
This league we'll be utilizing some cool tech with
Animate Guardian which we can make immortal with some crazy interactions I'll talk about in its own section. This will replace the
Autoexertion +
General's Cry Tech that we've used the past couple leagues but feel free to continue using it if you want.
Cyclone Mapping/Bossing -
Mapping and Bossing will be handled by
Cyclone of Tumult which is a bigger and better version of
Cyclone. Tumult has larger AoE and a higher DPS ceiling but has the drawback of reducing your Movement Speed drastically. We'll mitigate this Movement issue early on with
The Stampede /
Replica Stampede and eventually transition into
Mageblood with
Quicksilver Flask + Onslaught + Tailwind + Elusive Boots.
Animate Guardian Tech -
I've made Variants for the Gear on this guy and included a PoB section for it! This league we'll be using
Animate Guardian once we can buy the gear for him. This skill allows us to summon a Minion that can wear gear you drop on the ground. This allows us to equip items like
Garb of the Ephemeral for Crit and Slow Immunity,
Kingmaker for +50% to Crit Multiplier,
Glimpse of Chaos (Malediction) for the Malediction Debuff (10% More DPS, 10% Damage Reduction), and use the
Companionship Support for an extra 15% Less Damage Taken!
The only drawback, is that in non-minion builds, he's typically super squishy and dies all the time which is bad since we can only summon him once per map. We can mitigate this issue with Soul Eater Stacks. Each Stack of Soul Eater grants our Minion 2% Less Damage Taken, with a max of 90% Less Damage Taken at 45 Stacks. To get Soul Eater Stacks, we'll use
Transfusion Support, which grants a Soul Eater Stack when we spend 200 Life on Skill Cost. Like this -> Here
We'll also be using
Meat Shield Support,
Minion Life Support, and
Companionship Support to give him nearly 50,000 HP and tons of Damage Reduction.
Garb of the Ephemeral also grants the Divinity Buff for 25% Less Elemental Damage Taken. My
Animate Guardian can stand in Uber Shaper/Elder attacks and eat them like candy, I have yet to get him killed :)
We'll spend 200 Life with the
Corrupting Fever Skill, which has a 200 Life Cost at Skill Level 2 with my setup (Make sure it cost at least 200 Life or you won't give your Minion Soul Eater Stacks!).
Automation will use
Corrupting Fever once per second automatically. This means our
Animate Guardian gets a Soul Eater Stack every second. We'll also have
Convocation (Teleports our
Animate Guardian to us every 2.25 Seconds) and
Molten Shell (Gives Armor and massive Damage Reduction).
To mitigate the life lost from casting
Corrupting Fever so often, we'll use lots of Tattoo's of the Tukohama Shaman for .3% Life Regen per Second per Tattoo and
Hearty from the Passive Tree. You can also get flat life regeneration on gear or from other sources if wanted. Our Life Leech will cover us when Mapping/Bossing, the regeneration will cover us during the downtime.
This tech is brand new to me so I'll be taking any suggestions that people may have, feel free to DM me, swing by Twitch, or comment on YouTube with any tips.
Defenses -
Our Defenses revolve around Life/Armor Stacking, Leeching Life, and Capped Lucky Attack and Spell Block. We'll stack around 4.5-5K Life and 30-40K Armor thanks to our Gear, Flask, Jewels, and Passive Tree Nodes.
We use a Warstaff for the Implicit Block for
Versatile Combatant to allow Over capped Attack Block to turn into Spell Block. So we'll stack tons of Attack Block by using Nodes like
Enigmatic Defence,
Steelwood Stance, and
Whirling Barrier alongside Tattoo's of the Valako Shieldbearer to reach 65% Attack and Spell Block. Combine this with
More Than Skill from the Forbidden Flesh and Forbidden Flame Jewels and you'll have a 87.75% Chance to Block Attack and Spell Damage!
Brutal Fervour from the Slayer Ascendancy will keep our Leech and Leech effects running 24/7 to mitigate small hits as long as we keep spinning. We'll also have
Overlord for 24/7 Fortification, tons of PDR, Ailment Immunity with
Purity of Elements, 6 Endurance Charges, 15% Less Damage Taken from
Companionship Support, 10% Less Damage Taken from Malediction Debuff, and big hit mitigation with
Molten Shell for a very Tanky Spin-2-Win Build!
