Build Overview

I would highly recommend switching to my pure mana stacking version of curse bot once you can as it provides a more solid amount of damage to all allies: https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/paychak-4dql06/builds/28156fe1-5d09-4848-a610-8ccc86a2ac20

This is a pure support build meant to buff your allies and weaken your enemies. Perfect for a duo setup or group party play! We aim to maximize the Unholy Might granted by the Lich ascendancy to buff all ally damage and stack curse + slow magnitude to slow enemies to a crawl and weaken their damage as much as possible.

Here's a quick list of some of the buffs/debuffs this build can give when optimized:

120% Temp Chains slow

-21% enemy move speed hinder

-111% all res Ele Weakness

-37% all res Exposure

-92% chaos res Despair

80% Wither (enemies take up to 80% increased chaos dmg)

12% enemies take increased damage from all sources

-55% enemy dmg Enfeeble

9.5% critical weakness (enemies have +4.5% base chance to be crit)

Enemies have 33% chance to explode for chaos dmg when killed

Allies gain 60%+ of dmg as extra chaos dmg

Allies deal 190%+ increased dmg

+Whatever other mods you have on your sceptre ^^

These numbers can go up/down depending on your gear, but even on a very cheap budget setup your numbers won't be all that far from what's listed here. The PoB code on this page shows some more optimized gear.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Strong Defenses
  • Massive boost to all allied damage
  • Easy gameplay (like aurabot from PoE1)
  • Very cheap to get started
  • Cannot kill anything by yourself
  • Not a very active playstyle
  • Requires at least 1 friend

Make sure to cap your elemental resists

Energy shield = your survivability

Mana = more damage for your allies, get as much as you possibly can!

Add mana regen as needed, but you really shouldn't need much extra at all (if any)

ANNOINT - Warlord Leader (annoint Howling Primate once you get a Bulwark version From Nothing jewel)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SOCKETS:

Helm = Talisman of Egrin/Soul Core of Zalatl/Affliction

Body Armor = Iron Rune

Weapon = Rabbit/Fox/Wolf/Primate Talisman (lots of options here honestly)

Focus = Atmohua's Soul Core of Retreat

Gloves = Serpent Talisman or Fenumus' Rune of Draining

Boots = Any

Belt (if you have helmet version of Darkness Enthroned belt) = Talisman of Egrin + Soul Core of Zalatl/Affliction

If no Darkness enthroned just use a rare with mana+res.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPIRIT BREAKPOINTS:

192 Spirit = Triple Curse + Withering Presence

246 Spirit = Quad Curse + Withering Presence

335 Spirit = Quad Curse + Heightened Curse + Withering Presence

Note - Make sure your Blasphemy gem has 20 quality otherwise you will need more spirit.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are a variety of sceptre mods that can be useful. The "allies deal % increased damage" mod is always great. The other mods can vary depending on the build of the person/people you're running with. Combinations of flat damage, crit chance/dmg, and atk/cast speed can all be good. Intelligence also adds mana so helps a little. Some additional spirit will likely be needed for you to be able to run Heightened Curse support.

You want an Omen Sceptre for the Malice skill if supporting a crit character. Next best choice is a Stoic Sceptre for Discipline (more es).

Jewels - Curse Magnitude + Energy Shield

Unique Jewels - From Nothing (Bulwark version), Megalomaniac (allocates Lingering Whispers)

Gems are in order of importance. When going up against big single targets (such as pinnacle bosses) you can remove Despair or Ele Weakness from your Blasphemy setup and manually cast it instead for more damage. The Despair setup at the bottom of the gem list above shows this single target swap.

You will lower ALL enemy elemental resistances AND chaos resistance. If your carry is a pure physical character you can swap out Elemental Weakness for Vulnerability.

Frost Bomb is to apply Elemental Exposure, further reducing enemy elemental resistances.

For your Blasphemy setup, if you don't have the required 335 spirit then just replace Heightened Curse with Ritualistic Curse. Make sure your Blasphemy gem has 20% quality on it, otherwise it'll require even more spirit.

Priority = Curse/Aura/ES nodes > AoE nodes > Wither Nodes

Ideally get a Megalomaniac with "Lingering Whispers" so you can save those 4 points.

***Lone Warrior - "Aura buffs don't apply to allies". Don't worry, we don't actually have a single aura that applies to allies anyways so we get the upside with no downside ^^

How it Plays

Just stay near your allies to give them damage. Any enemies that get remotely close will be slowed/weakened and take massively increased damage from your allies. Use Frost Bomb on tanky enemies to lower their resistances further.

How it Works

Unholy Might gives allies 30% of damage as extra chaos. Every 100 flat mana you have will increase the magnitude of unholy might by 4% (Ex: 1000 flat mana = 40% increased magnitude of Unholy Might. 30x1.4 = 42. So 1000 flat mana gives allies 42% of damage as extra chaos). Assuming you get 2500 mana by end game, that's 60% of damage as extra chaos for allies.

Withering Step will make enemies take up to 50% increased damage from the Unholy Might buff that you're giving to all your allies. With a Fenumus Rune of Draining in your gloves that jumps to 60% (though you can use Serpent Talisman's instead for overall curse effect). Combined with the wither effect nodes on the passive tree, we reach 80% wither effect which multiplies all the chaos damage your allies now deal. Plus you can socket a Talisman of Egrin in your Darkness Enthroned belt for up to another "enemies take 12% increased damage".

With the new Elemental Weakness curse enemies have -49% to all elemental res. Despair gives -49% to chaos res. That's NOT including all your stacked curse/aura effect from passives and gear (which, yes, more than offsets the penalty from Blasphemy). Fully geared, you're looking at about -110% ish ele res and -90% ish chaos res for all enemies with your Blasphemy setup. So now you're giving your allies more damage, making enemies take more damage, and destroying enemy resists to make them take EVEN MORE damage.

Finally, you're also slowing enemies to a crawl with Temporal Chains (115%+ slow) and drastically lowering their damage with Enfeeble (-53% ish dmg) to hugely increase group survivability ^_^
