Runefather's Challenge is a Debuff, and Runefather's Boast is a Buff in Path of Exile 2.

Runefather's Challenge is a Debuff which raises the Power of affected targets by 5.
Eyes of the Runefather is a Unique Shield that grants the character methods of inflicting the Runefather's Challenge Debuff. You can also use
Aldur's Legacy in this Shield to obtain
Legacy of A Worthy Foe, enabling the use of another Shield whilst still being able to inflict the Debuff.
Monster Power or Enemy Power, is a stat that roughly indicates the difficulty level of a Monster relative to other Monsters. This stat also directly interacts with other mechanics such as player Warcries and Trigger Skills. You can learn more about Monster Power here.
Though Runefather's Challenge does not specify a Duration, it is not a permanent Debuff, and appears to expire after a 10 second period.
If a character is equipped with the
Eyes of the Runefather Unique Shield and kills a target inflicted with Runefather's Challenge, they'll obtain stacks of Runefather's Boast. One stack is gained per Monster Power of targets killed that were affected by Runefather's Challenge.
Each stack of Runefather's Boast grants +1 to Armour, +1 to Evasion Rating and +1 to Stun Threshold. You can have up to 10,000 stacks of Runefather's Boast at any one time.
Runefather's Boast does not have a Duration, and instead persists until the character dies or leaves the current area.
