Overview

This crafting guide will take you through the process of making a high damage Attack Breach Ring for LA Deadeye and other Martial builds.

WARNING: This craft is expensive and bad luck can massively increase the cost.

A cheaper version with less consistently high damage results can be done by first starting with the Suffixes and then completing the Prefixes - SpicySushi uses this method in his version of this craft. Alternatively, you can follow this version but start by Recombining two Tier 2 Damage to Attacks modifiers and follow along from Step 3

What You'll Need

What You'll Need

  • Several Breach Rings with Tier 1 Lightning Damage to Attacks, preferably with fewer than 5 modifiers
  • 3+ Fracturing Orbs
  • 1-4 Preserved Collarbones
  • Hundreds of Chaos Orbs
  • Omen of Abyssal Echoes
  • Omen of Sinistral Necromancy
  • 2x Omen of Homogenising Exaltation
  • Omen of Greater Exaltation
  • 2x Perfect Exalted Orb

Craft

Step 1: Fractured Lightning Damage

In the first step, we attempt to Fracture a Tier 1 Damage to Attacks modifier on our Breach Rings. Ideally, we want to buy some Breach Rings with T1 Lightning and no more than 4 Modifiers, but this is too expensive right now and most results show Tier 2 Lightning with 40% Lightning Quality. Instead, I recommend doing a search for Breach Rings with Tier 1 Cold Damage to Attacks. The images in this guide will show a Lightning Damage Fracture, but you'll likely end up with a Cold Damage Fracture

Important: Don't accidentally buy Fractured Rings, Rings with Quality that are making Tier 2 modifiers look like Tier 1, Corrupted Rings or Sanctified Rings. These parameters can all be set in the Miscellaneous section of the Trade Search Filters.

Fracturing Orbs will lock a modifier in place permanently on a Rare item with at least 4 modifiers. Previously, I suggested using Orbs of Annulment to get the Ring down to 3 modifiers, then using a Preserved Collarbone to make the Fracturing Orb success, but with the price of Orbs of Annulment skyrocketing, it's more sensible to just go for the Fracture. In the "Stat Filters" of Trade Search, you can add in "# Empty Prefix Modifiers" and "# Empty Suffix Modifiers" and set each of these Minimum numbers to 1 so that all Results are 4 Modifier Rings. If you can get a 3 Modifier Ring, use a Preserved Collarbone to add a "4th Modifier", but DO NOT Reveal it - this gives you a 1/3 chance of success with the Fracturing Orb

Step 2: Getting a Second Damage Modifier

The next step is a bit painful with the price of Orbs of Annulment, but we need to Annul down our Ring to just the Fractured modifier, and one other modifier

Next, we need to use Chaos Orbs until we get another Tier 1 Damage to Attacks modifier. Ideally, we want to hit Tier 1 Lightning Damage to Attacks. Next best would be Fire Damage to Attacks or Physical Damage to Attacks. This step can be brutal.

Odds

Hitting any one of these three modifiers seems to be a 1 in 204

  • T1 Lightning/Fire Damage to Attacks: 1 in 814 Chance
  • T1 Physical Damage: 1 in 407 Chance

_________________________________________________________

Step 3: Getting a Third Attack Modifier

In the next step, we want to get a third Damage to Attacks Modifier. The safest way to do this is with a Desecrated Modifier

  • Activate an Omen of Sinistral Necromancy
  • Use either a Preserved Collarbone, or preferably, an Ancient Collarbone on the Ring (much more expensive, but guarantees a Minimum Modifier Level of 40)

This will guarantee a Desecrated Prefix modifier.

  • Activate an Omen of Abyssal Echoes
  • Take the Ring to the Well of Souls and Reveal it

We really want to hit a high Tier of Damage to Attacks, preferably Lightning Damage if you don't have it already. As with most steps in this craft, this process can be brutal if you don't get the right Reveal.

  • If you fail on the first attempt and don't get a good Revealed modifier, reroll the modifiers.
  • If you fail on the second attempt, use an Omen of Light and Annul off the Revealed modifier and then repeat this step

_________________________________________________________

Step 4: Getting the Suffixes

With your three Attack prefixes, we can now do the Suffixes

  • Activate an Omen of Greater Exaltation
  • Activate an Omen of Homogenising Exaltation
  • Apply a Perfect Exalted Orb

With the Tags on our Prefixes (Damage, Elemental, Attack, and then a combination of Fire/Cold/Lightning/Attack), the only modifiers we can Exalt on are:

  • Tier 1-3 Fire, Cold and Lightning Resistance
  • Tier 1-2 to All Elemental Resistances
  • Tier 1 Life and/or Mana Leech

Next, we repeat the same process for the final Suffix. The modifiers that can be applied are the same as the ones previously mentioned

  • Activate an Omen of Homogenising Exaltation
  • Apply a Perfect Exalted Orb

Closing

With the cost of this craft and potential pitfalls, it might be worth to just buy a marginally worse Ring for what will still be several Divines. I'm not 100% sure this is the ideal method for creating this Ring, but with how unbelivably expensive a finished Ring like this is (60-100+ Divines, depending on your rolls), I'm guessing that a better method hasn't been found yet. Good luck :)
