Build Overview

// THIRD EDICT UPDATE //

Perfect Strike deals ~30% less dmg and has ~15% slower attack speed - this is not a huge deal, as most bosses were phased in about 7-8 hits, so, now, it takes 10-12 but it's definitely a noticeable nerf, ESPECIALLY to the "feel" of the skill.

while Perfect Strike IS still worth using, numerically, the "feeling" of using it now is pretty much absolute booty butt cheeks, so, if you REALLY hate using it, you can just use Mace Strike early and Forge Hammer later (t9 gem, around level 30) - just toss & recall Forge Hammer repeatedly for single target!

regardless of your choice, remember to continue using Earthquake after each of its detonations (free dmg.)

----------------------------------------------------

This is a LEVELING guide for any Warrior Ascendancy.

It is NOT an "endgame" build guide - the intent is to get you through the campaign as efficiently as possible to then transition into whatever build you're actually playing.

If you don't have an endgame build in mind yet, consider checking out my FIREBRINGER: https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/Woolie/builds/0-3-woolie-s-firebringer

// VERY IMPORTANT INFO //

If you feel you're not dealing enough damage / not clearing things well enough:

1) make sure you are NOT FULLY STUNNING packs w/ Rolling Slam / Leap Slam
> Brink support fully fixes this issue (t2; mid/late Act 3), until then, use a lower level skill gem

2) buy / craft a better 2h mace

if you're on trade league, I guarantee that you can buy a better weapon than your current one for only 1-2 exalts and, for SSF, check vendors constantly and don't be afraid to toss a few exalts on the best basetype available to you (preferably with 2 sockets)

Use the "Build Variants" tab to see different equipment, skill and passive tree breakdowns for various progression-points.

Refer to the "Video Guide" link (and PoB) if you're looking for more details.

// SKILL ROTATION //

CLEARING

1) Rolling Slam/ Leap Slam into the pack
2) Boneshatter on any "primed" enemy (yellow circle indicator)

be sure to ANIMATION CANCEL Rolling Slam by using Boneshatter IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FIRST IMPACT OF Rolling Slam

SINGLE-TARGET

-- BEFORE Perfect Strike --

1) Earthquake
2) Mace Strike (yes, default attack is actually good)
3) use Earthquake again after it detonates & repeat

toss in Infernal Cry + Boneshatter on a "primed" enemy, if you're feelin' frisky

-- WITH Perfect Strike --

1) Infernal Cry
2) Earthquake
3) Perfect Strike

your weapon will glow "white-hot" for a brief moment - this is the time to release Perfect Strike

again, if you truly despise Perfect Strike, try simply tossing & recalling Forge Hammer, instead.
> Forge Hammer links are: Fist of War II > Aftershock II > Fire Attunement

For a Leaguestart scenario, ignore the unique items (obviously)

For your weapon, you want as high phys dmg as possible - attack speed is just icing on the cake

For all other items, you're simply looking for:
- Life
- Resistances
- Strength
- Armor

use Mace Strike & Earthquake for single-target until you get Perfect Strike (t5 skill gem; guaranteed as a quest reward from killing The Executioner in the Manor Ramparts.)

weave in Infernal Cry + Boneshatter whenever the enemy is primed (yellow circle indicator) for extra damage.

you can ignore Mace Strike entirely once you have Perfect Strike
