PoE 2 Build

Ultra Speed Snipe

Updated on Aug 6, 2026
Aug 6, 2026

Build Overview

This Snipe Gemling revolves around stacking Attack Speed and Gem Quality to transform Snipe into a skill that can repeatedly hit its Perfect Timing window while firing at an extremely high rate.

Instead of relying on weapon damage alone, the build combines several mechanics that all scale together, allowing it to reach both excellent clear speed and very high single target damage.

The guide includes three versions:

  • Mapping – Quill Rain + Kadirus' Gambit + Mageblood.
  • Grand Expeditions / Endgame – Rare quiver + Headhunter.
  • Budget Variant removed everything that isn't essential

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Insane Speed
  • High Damage
  • Great Clear
  • High Defense
  • Mana

Build Variants

Aim for this setup when running 6 man boost/grand expeditions or tough content.

Core Items

Quill Rain

The most important item in the build.

The enormous Attack Speed allows Snipe to repeatedly hit its Perfect Timing window while also making Whirling Slash one of the fastest movement skills in the game.

Try to get:

  • High Attack Speed
  • High Arrow Speed
  • Low Less Attack Damage roll
  • Runeforged version
  • Quill rain legacy rune - not mandatory but will make the build much smoother

Mageblood

Recommended for mapping.

Permanent Jade uptime massively increases Evasion, which directly improves Ghost Dance recovery.

Headhunter

Recommended for Grand Expeditions.

The huge number of Rare monsters allows Headhunter to stack modifiers extremely quickly, making it much stronger than Mageblood for Expedition farming.

Split Personality Setup

Instead of using the standard Mercenary pathing, this build uses Split Personality (with Shadow) to start from the Shadow (monk) side of the passive tree.

To set this up:

  1. Path from the Mercenary starting area over to the Shadow section of the tree.
  2. Socket Split Personality (Ruby with Shadow).
  3. Remove the original Mercenary starting path.

This saves a large number of passive points while giving access to much stronger early nodes.

How it Works

The build revolves around four core interactions.

Snipe + Gem Quality

Gem Quality increases both Snipe's Attack Speed and the Perfect Timing window.

Once enough Attack Speed is stacked, Snipe becomes almost completely spammable while still receiving the Perfect Timing bonus on every attack.

Verglas + Frost Wall

Cast on Critical Strike continuously creates Frost Walls while attacking.

Whenever those Frost Walls are destroyed by Snipe, Verglas grants a massive amount of added Cold Damage based on the Frost Wall's maximum Life.

Because the build scales Frost Wall Life to around 200,000 Life, Verglas becomes one of the largest damage multipliers available.

Tornado Shot

Tornado Shot provides most of the mapping clear.

Additional projectiles create more tornadoes, allowing multiple explosions to overlap on the same target while also clearing entire packs.

Ghost Dance + Mageblood

The mapping version uses Mageblood together with Jade to stack a very large amount of Evasion.

Ghost Dance converts that Evasion into constant Energy Shield recovery, giving the build excellent survivability without sacrificing clear speed.
