Basic Overview
The new
Spirit Walker grants the ability to use
Tame Beast on unique boss beasts. The goal is to build completely around making the ultimate unique beast crush our opposition. Most Unique Tames can offer endgame viable output HOWEVER the Mighty Silverfist from act 3 is by far the strongest single target due to GGG giving it 25% base crit and an additional 100% critical bonus. All Unique tames have some built in bonuses but this is by far the strongest. Ultimately variety is the spice and other tames will work but the monkey is a big power outlier. Later on I'd recommend transitioning from High DPS rare sceptre setups too
Sylvan's Effigy as Loyalty stacking allows for insanely free tank and even the damage loss of 4 gem levels isn't too noticeable as everything still dies basically instantly regardless.
Early Leveling
- Twister + Whirling Slash is strongest early game huntress from my testing which will get us to the point we can swap to Spirit Walker Companion the Fastest.
- Act 1-3 Sets showcase gems / gearing for twister leveling, heavily prioritize flat damage on gloves / rings / spear as this will carry the damage
Tame Beast is not available till a level 7 gem, and IMO probably should be held off on swapping to companions at Act 3 after completing the second lab.- Reason for waiting for second lab -> most early tree is pathing so swapping at level 22 would leave us with roughly 40% of our tree being actual passives and like 60% being travel nodes whereas swapping at act 3 it would be closer to 60% actual useful passives and 40% travel.
- IMPORTANT: roughly 20k gold will be needed to respec from twister to full companion tree, so do NOT spend gamble in act 2-3 except for getting intial weapon upgrade
Defence
- Damage taken from companion before you via Loyalty (10%) support gem (Romira's Requital lineage lategame),
Captivating Companionship 5%(notable), and
Starkonja's Head / Legacy of
Starkonja's Head(rune) 15%- ?% - Life for raw EHP (Early-Mid Game)
- Evasion/Deflection Hybrid Energy Shield (Early-Mid Game)
- Cap Ele/Chaos Resistances on Gear
- Intimidate(enemy dealing 10% reduced damage) from
Spirit Walker Bear Companion - Energy Shield +
Heroic Tragedy (Late Game)
Offence
- Unique Companion via
Spirit Walker is our primary damage companion to build around. - Rare
Tame Beast w/ mods like haste aura(20% aps) / trail of lightning(shock 20% inc damage taken) - Intimidate(10% increased damage taken) from
Spirit Walker Bear Companion - Increased Companion Damage from Tree / Jewels / Sceptre Mod / Idols
- Increased Companion/Minion Attack Speed from Tree / Jewels / Sceptre / Haste Aura
- Minion Gem Levels - Helmet(1-2) / Amulet(1-4) / Sceptre(1-5) /
Trenchtimbre(1-2) /
Prism of Belief (1-3) / +1 Corruption / Support Gems(MAYBE, there could be better support options)
Spirit Walker Catha's Blessing 60% of base damage of mainhand weapon applies to companions, this +
Giant's Blood OR
Lord of the Wilds could prove quite strong with high physical two hand mace / talisman- Tablet w/ + modifiers could possibly(testing req.) work with unique tame which could be quite strong
- extra crits = 300% increased crit chance
- enraged = 30% damage / 25% attack+cast+movement speed / 33% less damage taken
- Hasted = 30% attack+cast+movement speed
- extra 'x' damage = gain 40% 'x' damage
Parry Weapon Set 2 could potentially be the ideal damage snap shot to make enemies take 100% more attack damage- Minion crit bonus on jewel suffix rolls 15-25% and very good if extra crit mod on tame beast
Malice Sceptre = Crit weakness to scale off extra crit mod on tame beast
Pain Offering w/ some extra skeletons sacrificed gives 30% speed/60% damage when leveled ( this can also be scaled with Danse Macabre & Sacrificial Offering supports)
Tame Beast
- Boar Rare Tame - Farm Boar in Infested Barrens Camp Checkpoint Resetting till ideal rare mods
- Werewolf Rare Tame - Ogham Village Reset at Checkpoint(30-50% chance to spawn the rare wolf, if it spawns a rare zombie then entire new zone reset is required each time you roll rare zombie before reset check will force wolf, once you see wolf keep respawning at checkpoint)
- Haste Aura - #1 priority 20% attack speed + 10% movement speed (doesn't spawn on plague harvester or any other rare tames tagged with "fast movement")
- Plague Harvester Tame - Khari Crossing Northwest of Town there is a caravan trader checkpoint with 2 rare ones to respawn at and check for good mods.
- Physical Aura - 30% increased physical aura
- Temporal Bubble - Slows enemies inside bubble(strong defensive)
- Invulnerable aura - not always up but makes damage immune when it procs
- Prevents Enemy Recovery and Regen - Provides Regen and stops healing mechanics on enemies
- Elemental Resistances Aura - Great when your gear is weak and not capped resistance
- Energy Shield Aura - Nice extra additional ES to pair with
Ghost Dance
- Unique Tame - Requires Tablet "Unique monsters have 1 additional rare modifier"
- Extra Crits = 300% increased crit - Best in Slot mod, caps crit by itself

Rare Sceptre Vs Sylvan Sceptre
- Rare Sceptre = Better Single Target
- Sylvan = Better Clear + can use spirit companion body armour(great defensively)
- The bug with sometimes companions being despawned was solved by keeping
Wolf Pack exclusively on weapon set 1
- The bug with sometimes companions being despawned was solved by keeping
Ultra Late-game
- Big Physical
Ironwood Greathammer w/
Giant's Blood - suffix with %reduced attribute requirements(should put mace at around 100 str = 300 str required to equip
Legacy of Greymake in helmet = +50 all attributes (this means + 150 str as dex and int nodes can be reassigned to strength)- Add in 1-2 suffix rolls of strength and the char will hit that 300 strength required
The Adorned with heavy priority on % minion crit bonus + % companion/minion damage
Diamond jewels can roll both companion damage and minion critical bonus for maximum damage with magic adorned- Drop a lot of the less valuable companion passives in order to grab more jewel sockets
Voices Sapphire- jewels OP -> more jewels = more OP
