Here's my guide for my Poison Bleedsplosion Pathfinder Endgame to Starter Build for patch 0.3 The Third Edict!

The Pathfinder Ascendancy is one of the most UNDERATED Ascendancies in the game. You can be immune to all slows with Relentless Pursuit, Double your poisons with Overwhelming Toxicity, get 6 Extra Passive Points with Traveller's Wisdom, Immune to Shock, Ignite, or Freeze with Practical Remedies, and have little to no Movement Speed Penalty with Running Assault.

We use the Plaguefinger wraps to allow ALL Damage to Contribute to Poison Magnitude allowing us to use Elemental Damage on our Bow, Quiver, Rings, etc... If you want an in-depth explanation on Poison Damage and how it works, check out Dreamcore's Awesome Explanation -> Here

We'll use Poisonburst Arrow combined with Nova Projectiles and Bleed III to activate Herald of Blood which will chain explosions for TONS of clear speed. We'll ride on the back of the Rhoa Mount for 15% Increased Movement Speed and 80% Movement Speed Penalty. This allows us to run around at Mach 15 while spraying Poison Arrows off the back of our Dino Chicken.

We'll melt bosses with Gas Arrow, Vine Arrow, and Toxic Growth. Gas Arrow will continuously Poison our Toxic Growth pustules causing them to instant detonate and deal TONS of damage. We melt bosses before they even get a chance to do anything. We'll mix in the Despair curse to lower the targets Chaos Resistance for even more Damage.

Our Defenses revolve around Energy Shield, Evasion, and Deflection. We'll stack ES using Subterfuge Mask and hybrid EV/ES gear. We'll then us Ghost Dance to Recover ES based on a % of our EV. This allows us to recover 1800 ES when we get hit. We'll stack Deflection with Deflection Rating on gear and nodes like Enhanced Reflexes. Overall I have 3600 ES, 75% EV, 50% Deflection, and 1.4K Life. We're also Immune to Slows and Poison.

Overall the build is a fun 1 button Mapper which can Melt ALL Bosses and Ubers with ease. We have decent Defenses and clear screens preventing things from reaching us without our INSANE Movement Speed.

Build Variants


We'll allow all Elemental Damage to Contribute to Poison Magnitude by using the Plaguefinger Unique. This allows us to have Elemental Damage on our gear be beneficial to Poison DPS.

We'll use Poisonburst Arrow plus Nova Projectiles for clear as this will shoot our arrows all around us. Our Herald of Blood will activate and chain thanks to Bursting Plague and Bleed III chaining off each other. This will create Double Herald-esque explosions that clear screens. We'll use Gas Arrow, Vine Arrow, and Toxic Growth to delete bosses with HUGE Poison DPS.

We'll ride on the back of the Rhoa Mount for 15% Increased Movement Speed and 80% Reduced Movement Speed Penalty allowing us to ZOOM around the map while we clear. We're also Immune to all Slows such as Temporal Chains, Chilled Ground, Maim, Hinder, ETC....

We'll stack Evasion and Energy Shield so we can use things like Ghost Dance to Recover ES on hit and Deflection to give us a 40% Damage Reduction when hit. We'll have around 3.5K ES, 75% EV, 50% Deflection, and recover ES on Hit from all of our Defenses. We'll also be Immune to Poison with the Toxic Tolerance node.

Bow:

Go for a High Damage Base Bow like the Obliterator Bow or Warmonger Bow for the Highest Damage Possible. Go for as much DPS as possible, the type/element of the Damage does not matter. Go for Critical Hit Chance, Level of Projectile/Attack Skills, and Chance to Gain Onslaught on Kill. Other decent stats are Attack Speed, Critical Damage Bonus, and other Desecrated Mods.

Quiver:

Go for a Visceral Quiver for the Implicit Critical Hit Chance. Go for Increased Projectile Speed thanks to Feathered Fletching, Increased Damage with Bow Skills, Added Damage to Attacks, +2 Level of All Projectile Skills, Attack Speed, and Critical Damage Bonus.

Body Armor:

We're going to go for a Hybrid EV/ES Body Armor with as much Evasion and Energy Shield as possible. Fill out any needed Resistances and Attributes as needed and look out for some of the Desecrated Mods that allow some nifty interactions.

Gloves:

We're gonna go with the Plaguefinger Unique as these Gloves allow ALL Damage to Contribute to Poison Magnitude. Typically only Physical and Chaos Damage Contribute to Poison DoT, these Gloves allow Elemental Damage to be included in that equation which allows us to use any Added Elemental Damage to Attacks gear in the build.

Socket these with the Courtesan Mannan's Rune of Cruelty for Increased Magnitude of Damaging Ailments we Inflict for more Poison DPS. A 1 Socket pair is 5 Ex, a 2 Socket Corrupt is 100-150 ex, a 2 socket un-corrupt is 15-30 Div, a 3 socket corrupt is 90-150 Div.

Helmet:

Go for the Highest Energy Shield Helmet that you can get since we're using Subterfuge Mask. For every 1 ES on the Helmet, we get +2 EV. Fill out any needed Resistances and Attributes here as well and look for nifty Desecrated Mods.

Boots:

We're gonna go for 30-35% Movement Speed Boots with an EV/ES Base. Get any needed Resistances and Attributes and try to craft/buy a pair with the 100% Increased Effect of Sockets Affix. This allows us to use the Farrul's Rune of the Chase for 5% Movement Speed per rune. With 100% Increased Effect, this yields 10% Movement Speed per Rune. In a 3 Socket pair of Boots, this = 30% Movement Speed + 30-35% from Prefix = 60-65% Movement Speed.

Belt:

We're gonna use the Ingenuity Unique which allows us to increase the Bonuses on our Rings. We stack Rarity, Attributes, Resistances, and Added Damage to Attacks on our Rings so this is how we achieve 150% Rarity, Capped Resistances, and all the Attributes that we need for the build.

Try to get a Corrupted one with either % Increased Maximum Energy Shield, % Increased Evasion Rating, % Resistance, or + Attribute. This will help fill out the needs of your build.

Amulet:

I've gone with a Gold Amulet for Rarity but use any base you want. You'll want at least 50 Spirit for the build total, % Increased Maximum Energy Shield, % Increased Global Defenses / % Increased Evasion Rating, Rarity of Items Found, Critical Hit Chance, and Critical Damage Bonus. You can get any needed Resistances, Attributes, or Rarity Here.

I don't use + 3 Level of Projectile as its too taxing on our Mana Cost per Second and is VERY Expensive to get an Amulet with +50 Spirit, +3 Projectile, Rarity, and the Defenses I have. Go for it if you can afford it.

I anoint with Leeching Toxins but feel free to anoint with anything you want. Things like Patient Barrier are great for Defense and you could anoint with Feathered Fletching if you don't want to use the Megalomaniac I've shown off for the build.

Rings:

Go for Added Damage to Attacks, % Increased Chaos Damage, Rarity of Items Found, any needed Resistances and Attributes, and any nifty Desecrated Mods. Use the Ring slots to fill out whatever needs you have for the build.

Jewels:

We're gonna use a Megalomaniac with Feathered Fletching for a HUGE DPS boost. The second Mod can be one of the recommended Offense or Defense Mods.

Offensive: Lasting Trauma, Wasting, Barbaric Strength, Throatseeker, Stormcharged, Serrated Edges, Material Solidification, Chakra of Thought, Kite Runner, Acceleration, Sand in the Eyes, Crushing Verdict, Distant Dreamer, Vulgar Methods, Volcanic Skin, etc....

Defensive: Patient Barrier, Melding, Afterimage, The Winter Owl, Inner Faith, Man's Beast Friend, Spiral into Insanity, Enhanced Barrier, Calibration, Illuminated Crown, Ancient Aegis, Spectral Ward, Enduring Deflection, Resolution, Chakra of Breathing, etc...

The Heart of the Well is currently the Best Damage Jewel in the Game. Get one with Gain Extra Damage as Any Element, 2% Mana on Kill, Increased ES/EV from Body Armor, % Cost Efficiency, Critical Hit Chance, Attack Speed, etc...

Lastly I use a From Nothing with Passives in Radius of Oasis. This allows us to access nodes like Catapult, Careful Consideration, Fast Acting Toxins, and Small Companion Nodes.

Support Gems are Ordered in Priority of which you pick them!

You'll use Poisonburst Arrow with Nova Projectiles to clear everything around you. It'll Bleed thanks to Bleed III which will activate Herald of Blood. We'll also generate extra explosions with Bursting Plague.

Toxic Growth, Gas Arrow, and Vine Arrow will MELT Bosses when combined together. Just drop Gas Arrow at the bosses feet, drop a Vine Arrow at the bosses feet, and spam Toxic Growth to explode the pustules for HUGE Poison DPS. Watch the YouTube Video for a better explanation.

Herald of Blood will chain Poison and Blood Explosions thanks to Bursting Plague and Bleed III. This will allow Bursting Plague to Bleed and Herald of Blood to Poison so they Chain Proc off of each other for huge clearing.

Rhoa Mount will provide a 15% Increased Movement Speed buff and 80% Reduced Movement Speed Penalty which will allow us to ZOOM around the map.

Our Defenses are Bolstered with Ghost Dance which will recover our Energy Shield on Hit and Wind Dancer to give us an Evasion Increase.

Despair will be used on Bosses to lower their Chaos Resistances for Extra Poison DPS. Do note that you can't use it off the back of the Rhoa Mount so hop off to drop the curse then Melt the Boss.

We'll go Honed Instincts for Attack Speed and Dex, Master Fletching for Quiver Boost, Lasting Toxins and Stacking Toxins for Poison Boost, Escape Velocity on Weapon Set 1 for EV and MS.

Crippling Toxins for more Poison DPS, High Alert and Subterfuge Mask for Defensive Boost. Low Tolerance for a HUGE Poison DPS Boost, Wrapped Quiver for Quiver Boost. Proficiency since we need a lot of Attributes, Beastial Skin and Enhanced Reflexes for more EV/Deflect/Dex.

Escalating Toxins, Toxic Tolerance, and Building Toxins for Poison Immunity and DPS, Inspiring Ally for a HUGE DPS increase, Heartstopping, Struck Through, and Heartbreaking for big Crit Nodes and Attributes.

Immaterial and all the small nodes for big EV/ES Boost, Moment of Truth, Crashing Wave, and Flow Like Water for big DPS boost. Mindful Awareness for Defenses, Step Like Mist for Movement Speed and Attributes.

Conservative Casting for Mana Cost Efficiency which is huge for our Mana Sustain. Killer Instinct for big DPS, True Strike, For the Jugular, and Deadly Force for Crit and Attributes.

With the From Nothing, grab Catapult, Fast Acting Toxins on Weapon Set 2, and Careful Consideration for Evasion.

Contagious Contamination will be your First Ascendancy Point for built in Herald of Plague. Overwhelming Toxicity will be your Second Ascendancy Point for x2 the Poisons on a target. Relentless Pursuit will be your Third Ascendancy Point for Immunity to All Slows (F Chilled Ground).Traveller's Wisdom will be your Fourth Ascendancy Point for +5 Passive Points and +1 for the small node leading to it.
