[0.5.5] Navira's Fracturing Varashta League Starter Guide w/Acts Walkthrough

Build Overview

I also stream everyday on Twitch! So come ask me any questions you may have or come hang out!

Overview

This is the SMOOTHEST league starter I have ever played. It centers around using Navira's Fracturing to completely blow up the entire screen and shatter all the enemies in your way. It starts off as a 2-3 button build where you cycle between Ice Nova and Navira's Fracturing and it can even turn into basically a one-button build if you use a Tame Beast with Frozen Ground Trail.

For single-target you will use Kelari's Deception and Kelari's Brutality which will carry you through the entire game starting from Act 2 when you ascend to Disciple of Varashta.

If I want to Automate Chilled Ground, when should I tame a beast?

As early as you want, but if you do it during the acts, you will lose damage. I would recommend if this is the path you want to take, only do it in the endgame when you have enough spirit from your Sceptre and equipment to handle 3+ Minions & the Tame Beast.

Here is a video explaining how to farm the correct beast.

Is this build expensive?

NOPE! It is dirt cheap - I played it through HCSSF and made it to Tier 15 maps within a day of getting to the end game. It is EXTREMELY easy to scale and is super satisfying to play as well.

****DISCLAIMER****

You will need to respec your tree in Act 2 after your first Ascendancy. Save at least 5-7k gold to make sure you can make that swap immediately.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Extremely cheap to build
  • One of the best league starters
  • Super Tanky
  • Very satisfying full screen ice pops
  • Damage can be hard to scale in the super late end game (don't worry it can do all content easily)
  • You need to wait until Act 2 to play with the Djinn and you will need to respec the tree then

Runic Ward for Powered by Verisium

Since this build uses Powered by Verisium, you will need Runic Ward to cast it. The lower the level of the gem, the better because it uses less Runic Ward to cast.

You need to complete the Torn Map Piece Questline in Act 4 to get the Verisium Anvil to Runecraft your gear. After you finish that questline, the pieces of gear I recommend to Runecraft are typically the following:

  • Gloves
  • Focus
  • Boots
  • Helmet

Runecraft only as much as you need to cast Powered by Verisium - you don't want too much Runic Ward because it takes away from your Energy Shield if your gear is above level 55.

Always Runecraft the gloves first. After that, you will need to calculate the tradeoffs for Energy Shield vs Runic Ward because different item bases will give more/less Runic Ward.

Sceptre

Main Priority is + Minion Skills (+4 is max here). You also want as much Spirit as possible.

You also want:

  • Allies In Your Presence Deal % More DMG,
  • Minion Crit Damage / Crit Chance

The type of Sceptre is up to you. I prefer Shrine Sceptres for Resistance Aura and also the Purity Aura allows you to slot support gems without having to pay the spirit cost.

For the Socket use Xipocado's Soul Core of Dominion or Idol of Parisee.

Focus

Main Priority is + Minion Skills (+2 is max here). You either need to buy it or Desecrate it yourself.

Other than that, get as much ES and Resistances as possible. Cast Speed is also good!

Helmet

Main Priority is + Minion Skills (+2 is max here)

Other than that, get survivability stats.

Idol of Ralakesh is the BiS.

Body Armour

Prioritize getting as much Energy Shield as possible & Resistances.

You can also get Spirit if you are planning to use a Tame Beast.

Gloves

Prioritize getting as much Energy Shield as possible & Resistances.

Boots

Pretty straightforward - as much Energy Shield and Resistances as possible. As high Movement Speed as possible.

Amulet

Prioritize getting + 3 Levels to Minion Skills. This is a HUGE portion of your damage. The rest of the stats can be survivability stats.

Annoint Dominion (Potent Contempt - Suffering - Isolation)

Rings

Try to get rings with the following stats (priority order):

  1. Minion Damage %
  2. Minion Crit Chance
  3. Minion Crit Damage Damage

NOTE: These will either need to be purchased or birthed from the Genesis Tree through Breach.

Belt

Try to get a belt with the following stats (priority order):

  1. + Minion Skills (This is extremely rare and expensive. While it is #1 priority, don't worry if you can't get it)
  2. Command Skill Damage
  3. Minion Area of Effect

NOTE: These will either need to be purchased or birthed from the Genesis Tree through Breach.

Jewels

For the Rare Jewels, prioritize the following stats in this order:

1. Maximum Energy Shield

2. Minion Crit Chance

3. Minion Crit Damage

4. Mana Regeneration

TAME BEAST

This is an optional playstyle. If you don't want to use it, you don't need to. Use either Tame Beast Wolf Pack & Cast on Minion Death. You cannot use both at the same time. Both are listed above to give you an idea of what support gems to use.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to use Tame Beast, either get enough spirit for it and you don't need to drop any minions, or you can drop your Wolf Pack and Cast on Minion Death and/or another minion for the Tame Beast. Additionally, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PLAYING IT WITHOUT Brutus' Brain!

If you feel like you still need Ice Nova, feel free to keep it. If not, you can drop it along with Powered by Verisium and Frost Bomb.

Here is a video explaining how to farm the correct beast.

NON-TAME BEAST VERSION

We remove the need for Frost Bomb because if we ever need an emergency infusion, we can use the Skeletal Arsonist Command skill to kill one of our minions to get infusions due to Cast on Minion Death with Powered by Verisium.

Noobie question doing first build. How do I get a beast with chilled ground?

0
G
GrimShadow•6h ago

You need to tame it, in one of the acts, using the Tame Beast skill, there is a video in the build description that will show you how

What is the secret to having the extra skill gem slot? I'm running 12, but Misox is running 13 with no Unset Ring.

GrimShadow•4h ago

The extra slot in the endgame part of the build comes from the potent amulet that will give you the wolf pack, and you can then allocate dominion to it using the liquids

i have a question i'm trying to create chilled ground using kelari deception but i can't create any? do i have to kill a Mod to create chill ground or is there something i am missing?
PS : i was using sand/fire and not navira so my passive skill tree is a bit different

so does the passive skill tree matter to create chilled ground?

0
T
Truex•1d ago

You create chilled ground by using an empowered Ice Nova. You have to cast Frost Bomb first, get the 2 infusions and then use Ice Nova.

Why arcane surge mod?

0
T
Truex•1d ago

He doesnt have arcane surge, but he takes those notables around his time lost sapphire to get the additional bonus's.

You dont have to do that though, just use very good rare gems and put the points elsewhere

Why Mind Over Matter?????

0
T
Truex•1d ago

bc of his time lost sapphire, read what he wrote : Due to Mobalytics and PoB not showing the size of Time Lost Jewels properly with Baryanic Leylines, it looks like we just take a bunch of garbage nodes around MoM for no reason. BUT - that is not the case. We take a lot of those "random nodes" because they give us a ton of bonuses from our Time-Lost Sapphire Jewels.

How do i best desecrate a focus for the + minions? is there a trick or smth? the focus costs 40 div otherwise

0

Tony_on_tilt •2d ago

If it was easy it wouldn't cost 40 div

0
T
Truex•1d ago

Desecrate Suffix only, with the Abyss Omen of Echos so you get a reroll option.

If it doesnt hit, annul off the desecrate and try again.
