--------------------------------DISCLAIMER!---------------------------------

This is the build I will be league starting in Patch 0.4 and I will be updating it as I go! So at the moment, so if you are following this guide, expect it to potentially change drastically as we learn more about the build, the tree, the skills, and the new items in the game.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why Tactician?

Since Jonathan has said that you will probably be summoning up to 15 or so wolves at once if you use all of the wolf minion skills, Tactician's Watch How I Do It node will be extremely powerful for this build. The Talisman weapon will also lend itself very nicely to this because it is a 2-Handed Weapon, meaning that it will likely have some very high physical damage.

We can also take advantage of banners with Whoever Pays Best which will give us a ton of offensive stats with War Banner.

Why do you think this build will be good?

It's hard to exactly say if it will be good or not with 100% certainty, but there are a lot of items and tech that can support this build to make it deal a ton of damage.

First off, with the amount of Rage generation and general buffs to Rage in this update, we can easily take advantage of Warlord Berserker to give our minions a big boost in damage. On top of that, there will be a new node that will give our minions % Attack Speed and % Damage per point of Rage that we have, allowing us to double dip our Rage effectiveness.

We can also use Evergrasping Ring to give our minions a ton of extra Chaos Damage and use that in combination with Entropic Incarnation and Right Hand of Darkness to make our minions hit like a truck!

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • AWOOOOO
  • Wolf Pack Leader
  • AoE Might be lacking
  • Early start is weak due to position on the tree

Equipment

Most of the gear on here is just recommendations for leveling. Use what you have/what works for you. Ideally you want as much life and resistances as possible on your armor and as much physical damage on your Weapon, Rings, and Gloves. Boots, use whatever has the highest movement speed.

In Act 1, try to prioritize Cold Resistance as Count Geonor mainly does Cold Damage!

Heading into Clearfell Encampment, take Lunar Assault from the Uncut Gem from Renly and purchase a Talisman as well. If you can't afford one, you can mule one from a Druid.

Clearfell

In Clearfell (the first map), there should be an Abandoned Stash in the Mysterious Campsite where you get a guaranteed Uncut Skill Gem - use that to get Volcano. Use this to help with single-target

Then, head into The Mud Burrow and defeat The Devourer to get another Uncut Skill Gem to upgrade your Lunar Assault and get the Uncut Support Gem from Renly afterwards and get Rapid Attacks I for your Shred.

Grelwood

In Grelwood, make sure to find Areagne's Hut - kill her to get an Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Elemental Armament I for Lunar Assault.

The Red Vale

After completing The Red Vale, The Rust King will drop another Uncut Skill Gem - use this to get Pounce.

The Grim Tangle

In The Grim Tangle, kill The Rotten Druid to get another Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Crescendo I for Shred.

Cemetery of the Eternals

In The Cemetery of The Eternals, find The Sarcophagus (an interactable) for a chance to get an Iron Ring.

In The Tomb of The Consort, you can defeat the Rare monster that spawns from the Haunted Chest (another interactable) to get another Uncut Support Gem. Use this to get Rage I for Lunar Assault.
