Basic Overview
The goal is simple, become a bear that rains meteors using
Walking Calamity. The plan is to combine the new Druid Shaman Ascendancy
Furious Wellspring which provides constant rage regeneration with
Walking Calamity which creates a meteor shower requiring rage generation/glory to use.
Walking Calamity doesn't become available till tier 13 gem at level 52, therefore we will be starting with some other bear skills
Maul a basic cleave that generates rage as well as
Furious Slam to deal out some serious damage on bosses and clear packs of monsters. Thirdly grab
Pounce werewolf skill to apply damage multiplier mark as well as extra movement through zones. These 3 skills are the foundation bread & butter of the build we will level with until we can unlock
Walking Calamity to become a moving natural disaster.
Defense
- Armour
- 10 armour per level while in bear formj
- Flat armour on Gear (body armour/helmet can roll very high amounts)
- Flat armour through
Iron Reflexes converting evasion from items like
Morior Invictus into armour - % increases to armour throughout the tree
- Resistances (cap them, its extremely important)
- Life Prioritize Life on every piece of gear you can, and additional strength also gives life
- Life Leech via Physical Attack Damage Leech can be found as suffix on rings/gloves
- Life & Energy Shield Recoup via
Scarred Faith &
Made to Last
Defiance of Destiny Gives Massive shotgun protection(if they can't one shot us, they can't kill us)
Kaom's Heart Can be considered as a higher tank alternative but you have to give up reservations for the extra life.(res capping will be much harder without
Morior Invictus )
Offense
- %Damage Scaling mostly comes from tree in a few sources
- %attack damage
- %damage while shapeshifted
- %area damage
- Support gems, each support gives around 20-40% more damage while some are utilized for some QoL
- Bhatair's Vengeance this lineage support gem gives massive %gain as cold per rage, follow links in maul to utilize properly
- %skill speed/%attack give massive QoL as as well as increasing DPS output from
Maul &
Furious Slam - %elemental penetration is recommended to utilize until you can acquire Rakiata's Flow
Ancestral Cry when activated will massively increase damage output can use roughly once to twice per map. Glory generation is contingent on damage output from calamity mostly though.

Spirit Reservations
Lord of the Wilds halves our spirit + makes spirits reserve 2x as much- to get 2x 30 spirit Reservations you will need atleast 140 spirit on sceptre
- to add in clarity 1, you will need 180 spirit on sceptre
- Pick Any 2 30 spirit Reservations:
Herald of Ash adds fire explosion clear(potentially increases ancestral cry gen consistency)
Herald of Ice adds satisfying shatter explodes to increase clear
Savage Fury Can be reserved for free on weapon set 2, until it gets patched
Charge Regulation gives 20% more Armour consistently w/ occasional frenzy and power benefits from
Saqawal's Rune of the Sky bonded charge mod.
Weapon Swap
- Red Passives = Weapon Set 1
- Green Passives = Weapon Set 2
- Lock Weapons to both Sets By 'Right Clicking' Roman Numeral
- Upside = Longer Duration
Walking Calamity /
Savage Fury /
Ancestral Cry - Downside = Some bugs w/ each of the weapon swap skills
- Walking Calamity seems to lose some damage on tooltip as "shapeshift" passives seem to not apply to weapon set 2 correctly
Ancestral Cry with Mouse+Keyboard requires you to set
Ferocious Roar to both weapon sets otherwise it immediately turns off. To prevent this only use
Ferocious Roar while you have weapon set 2 out, this can be done by putting
Pounce on weapon set 2 and use
Pounce to force weapon set 2 out before proccing
Ferocious Roar.
Savage Fury just doesn't work to properly use weapon set 2 passives on mouse and keyboard as far as I can tell- Both
Ancestral Cry &
Savage Fury work on controller properly but you need to manually set skill options to weapon set 2 on the key binds you have set on controller.
Alternate Skill Options
Rampage offers great mobility at the cost of some rage management and having to hold down the key a lot. It can be a very solid skill, but it wasn't to my liking, give it a try as it can work well with this build.
Fury of the King offers a unique skill
Molten Crash which is a combination of
Pounce and
Volcanic Fissure. Very strong with a very cool skill but the base attack speed of 1 aps can feel quite rough. Try it out if the attack speed isn't too much of downside for your own personal feel.
