In this guide I'll feature 2 Endgame Builds.

  • Whirling Assault + Falling Thunder

This build focuses on a Spin to Win gameplay with Whirling Assault being our main ability while getting as many Combo points as possible to then convert them into Power Charges so we can clear the whole screen & 1-shot bosses with Falling Thunder.
There are many techs that you can use and ill list them all in their respective sections below.

  • Ice Strike + Shattering Palm

This build focuses on freezing and shattering everything with Shattering Palm trying to speed through the maps as fast as we can, while keeping abilities like Ice Strike and potentially Falling Thunder for bosses or even map clears.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

In the endgame we prefer going for a good Quarterstaff weapon which will give us an insane boost of damage.
For anyone interested in Hollow Palm Technique, here's some info:

Hollow Palm Technique Explanation:

Hollow Palm Technique scales in 3 ways:

  • Skill Level: The higher your skill level is the better HPT scales. Therefore the higher you are the better
  • Evasion on Gear: The more EV we have the more Attack Speed we get with HPT.
  • Energy Shield on Gear: The more ES we have the more Crit we get with HPT.

HPT is simply a node on our tree, its not a Build on it's own. Whether you go for it or not, depends on whether you have the right gear to support it. Finding a really good Quarterstaff will often times out-dps Hollow Palm Technique.

Good Quarterstaff Mods:

  • Flat Damage (Phys,Light,Cold,Fire)
  • Increased Damage (Phys, Ele)
  • +Level of Skills (Melee, Attack)
  • Crit Hit
  • Crit Dmg Bonus
  • Attack Speed

⭐WEAPON:

If you are going for Hollow Palm Technique, DONT worry about the weapon.

  • Critical Hit Base: Don't settle for a QS without this. It will greatly lower your Crit.
→ This is GOOD Sinister Quarterstaff / Bladed Quarterstaff / Bolting Quarterstaff
→ This is BAD Dreaming Quarterstaff / Smooth Quarterstaff
  • +Flat Damage
  • +Levels of Melee/Attack Skills
  • Phys Damage
  • Critical Damage Bonus

⭐GLOVES → Way of the Stonefist

Gloves are SUPER important for our build.

  • You can find the Mod Conversions -> HERE
You can find the Crafting Guide -> HERE

HELMET:

  • EV, EV/ES, ES: All 3 are good choices. Personally I went for full ES.
  • Rarity: A good place to stack rarity.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Crit Hit: If you need more crit, you can add it here. However we get a lot from tree.

BODY ARMOUR:

  • EV/ES: We want to go Hybrid here for our defense since EV got giga Buffed & ES is still goated.
  • Deflection: This also got giga buffed so stacking it will help our defense even more.
  • ES Recharge: This will also help our defenses a bit.
  • Resistances: Stack as much as you possibly can here so you allow other items to focus on DMG.

Forgotten Warden is a good defensive option too.

BOOTS:

  • EV | ES | EV/ES Base: Any of these three will be perfectly fine.
  • Movement Speed: Obviously
  • Deflection: This got a giga buff so stacking it will help our defense even more.
  • ES Recharge: This will also help our defenses a bit.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.

BELT:

The belt depends on what you manage to get. We have multiple options:

Rare: You can stack attributes, resistances, life or anything else that you need.
Unique: You can go for Ingenuity to power-up the stats of your rings.
Unique: You can go for Shavronne's Satchel to recover our ES with our Life Flask
Unique: You can go for Headhunter if you get lucky or rich.

RINGS:

  • +Flat Damage: This is the best stat to have on rings. Try get as many as you can.
  • % Increased Damage: This is a decent option but not as good as +Flat.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Leech Mana with Phys Dmg: This is a good option to have in case you're having mana issues.

AMULET:

Annointement Options:

  • Overwhelming Strike - Really good option IF you need more Crit.
  • Barbaric Strength - Really good option for consistent damage
  • Well of Power - Really good option for some dmg and mana sustainability
  • Lust for Power - Really good option to increase your Falling Thunder damage
  • Level of Melee Skills: Obivously a great way to increase our Dmg.
  • Critical Hit Chance: This will help our damage a lot and also help us cap Crit.
  • Increased EV and/or Max ES: Getting this will really help our defenses even more.
  • Increased Global Defenses: This is also great for defenses.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.

JEWELS:

  • Time-Lost Emerald / Time-Lost Sapphire
    Crit Hit or Crit Dmg
Effect of Small Passives / Notable Passives
    Either EV or ES
  • Sapphire / Emerald
    Crit Hit or Crit Dmg
    Either EV or ES
    Mana on Kill

SKILL INFORMATION & ALTERNATIVES:

  • Whirling Assault: Instead of Ancestral Call II, you can go for Pinpoint Critical. Efficiency II is there for Mana issues. If you dont have any Mana issues, then go for Pinpoint Critical.
  • Falling Thunder: The combo of supports we use with Breachlord's Amalgam helps us clear maps a lot quicker as it bounces the projectiles back. Pinpoint Critical is there so we can crit the bosses.
  • Tempest Bell: We add Rageforged II here so we can expend our Rage on the boss.
  • Mantra of Destruction: Since we're no longer using the Charge Generation on Mantra, this now becomes valuable in different ways.
    a) Empowering Buff
    b) Breaks Armour even more
    c) If you decide to go for Martial Adept, it will also provide you with extra Defence.
  • Charged Staff: This is the most consistent Charge Generation after testing them all. We simply need to get 1 Charge from Killing Palm, and then keep Charged Staff active. This will constantly generate full stack of Charges.
  • Hollow Focus: We add Supercritical for extra AOE. You can add some utility based supports like Blind II instead of Supercritical
  • Hollow Resonance: If you decide to go for this bell then we can add Armour Break on it with support gems like Armour Break III and Uruk's Smelting.
    - You can also decide to go for Martial Adept for higher combo / charge generation and more defence.
  • Killing Palm: We use this ability to generate charges manually. We need this for the first charge before we start the map so we can use Charged Staff. This is also handy when prepping for bosses.
  • Herald of Thunder: This still remains the main Spirit Gem that helps with clear based off on our Charged Staff too.
  • Wind Dancer + Ghost Dance: These two are the ultimate Defense combo. You can decide to remove one of them for a more offensive approach.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Combo + Power Charge Generation

For this tech to work you need to use the following gems in this SPECIFIC order: Living Lightning II + Culmination II + Ailith's Chimes + Charge Profusion II on:

  • Charged Staff - This is effective and very consistent, however the 1st charge needs to be generated by either having Arcane Surge on the Gloves OR Killing Palm into your Ghost Bells.
  • Hollow Focus - This is working perfectly fine, however, we are destroying the bells constantly with Whirling Assault so its not as consistent as we would want it to be for super juiced maps.
  • Hollow Resonance - This is much better than the other bells, but a bit worse that the Charges staff tech.
  • Whirling Assault - You can also use this tech on here aswell, but personally I dont like transforming this ability to a utility based generator. I'd rather Spin to Win, but its a choice.
  • Shattering Palm - This is the most popular approach. Again, I dont want to destroy the point of this build with a Meta approach, so ill stick to Spin to Win.

LATE VS EARLY ENDGAME CHANGES:

We cut off Coming Calamity because it becomes less valuable in the late endgame.

We cut off Cooked because it reduces our defense a lot and we are too squishy.

We cut off Maiming Strike because it's not worth pathing so far down for it.

With the new Points we now go for Shimmering, Immaterial, Enhanced Reflexes and Patient Barrier to GIGA boost our Defensives.
We definitely lose some damage but this is why we do this in the Late Endgame, cause Gear and Jewels will help us support the offensive part.

FURTHER ALLOCATION OPTIONS:

  • Step Like Mist: This will help you further with ES Recharge making you tankier.
  • Material Solidification: Extra boost in dmg and armour break.
  • Conservative Casting: ONLY if you have mana issues. The Soul Meridian can also be a good choice for Mana but also defensively too.

CHAOS INNOCULATION SWITCH:

If you want to go for Chaos Inoculation then you need to consider a few important things:

  • Have a good Energy Shield Pool. Anything above 4k is good.
  • Have a decent ES Recharge Rate. You can fix this through Gear, Passive Nodes or even Martial Adept
  • You could also consider Shavronne's Satchel as a belt alternative.
  • You need to invest in Stun and Ailment Threshold, so you should go for Abasement & even Shimmering Mirage
  • Make sure you dont have any dead Chaos Resistance modifiers on your gear.

ASCENDANCY OPTIONS:

  • Personally I am playing 2x Bells with Hollow Focus and Hollow Resonance. This provides me extra AOE and Single DMG aswell as pretty good utility.
  • Runic Meridians is also a really good option because we get great value for the points.
You can use Resistance Runes here to help you cap them so you can focus on other Mods OR:
HELMET: Saqawal's Rune of Memory / Emergent Instinct
BODY ARMOUR: Craiceann's Rune of Recovery / Craiceann's Rune of Warding
    GLOVES: Rune of Culmination
BOOTS: Farrul's Rune of the Chase / Farrul's Rune of Grace

If you want you can drop Hollow Resonance and go for Martial Adept. This will give you extra Combo therefore extra Power Charges AND decrease your ES Recharge Delay, making you tankier.
This means that when you use Mantra of Destruction it will immediately start the Recharge.

How it Plays

Upon entering a Map or an Encounter, use Killing Palm on one Ghost Bell to get a power charge. Use Charged Staff and then proceed to spam Whirling Assault. You will now always generate Power Charges, as long as you have Charged Staff on.

Every 2 Whirling Assault you should have MAX Power Charges, which you will expend by using Falling Thunder. You can also use Mantra of Destruction from time to time.

Rotation should look like:
Whirling Assault > Whirling Assault > Falling Thunder > Whirling Assault > Whirling Assault > Falling Thunder
