Hollow Palm Technique Explanation:

Hollow Palm Technique scales in 3 ways:

  • Skill Level: The higher your skill level is the better HPT scales. Therefore the higher you are the better
  • Evasion on Gear: The more EV we have the more Attack Speed we get with HPT.
  • Energy Shield on Gear: The more ES we have the more Crit we get with HPT.

HPT is simply a node on our tree, its not a Build on it's own. Whether you go for it or not, depends on whether you have the right gear to support it. Finding a really good Quarterstaff will often times out-dps Hollow Palm Technique.

Good Quarterstaff Mods:

  • Flat Damage (Phys,Light,Cold,Fire)
  • Increased Damage (Phys, Ele)
  • +Level of Skills (Melee, Attack)
  • Crit Hit
  • Crit Dmg Bonus
  • Attack Speed

Build Variants

Build Overview:

This is the SPIN TO WIN build using Whirling Assault with Charged Staff and Falling Thunder to clear Maps quickly, while also using the newly empowered Tempest Bell for Bossing.

We have multiple ways of gaining Power Charges, some require high investment:

  1. Use Reaper's Invocation + Profane Ritual to gain Power Charges from Corpses by clicking on the ability Reaper's Invocation gives you after killing some monsters. This is what we are currently using and it costs nothing.
    - For bossing however you will want to use Killing Palm on your Ghost Bells that you spawn from Hollow Focus to gain Charges.
  2. Use Ailith's Chimes on Mantra of Destruction to automatically gain Charges when you expend Combos. This is expensive and depends on the Economy.
  3. While using Way of the Stonefist, you can desecrate an INT base Gloves with Arcane Surge mod to convert it to Gain Power Charges. Check Mod Conversions here. This is expensive and depends on the Economy.

In the future, we can try get the new Amulet base called Absent Amulet which can potentially give us Reaper's Invocation or Cast on Critical for free. By adding Profane Ritual on those, we can get our Power Charges that way.

⭐WEAPON:

If you are going for Hollow Palm Technique, DONT worry about the weapon.

  • Critical Hit Base: Don't settle for a QS without this. It will greatly lower your Crit.
→ This is GOOD Sinister Quarterstaff / Bladed Quarterstaff / Bolting Quarterstaff
→ This is BAD Dreaming Quarterstaff / Smooth Quarterstaff
  • +Flat Damage
  • +Levels of Melee/Attack Skills
  • Phys Damage
  • Critical Damage Bonus

⭐GLOVES → Way of the Stonefist

Gloves are SUPER important for our build due to the new node. We want to get the conversion right.

  • Flat Damage → Gain Extra DMG
  • Increased Crit Bonus → Flat Base Crit Chance
  • +2 Level to Melee → +1 Level to Melee + 10% Quality to all skills
  • Arcane Surge on Crit → Power Charge on Crit

HELMET:

  • EV, EV/ES: Will be the better choice here since Subterfuge Mask got nerfed.
  • Crit Hit: We focus on Crit a lot for our bells so we need here too.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.

BODY ARMOUR:

  • EV/ES: We want to go Hybrid here for our defense since EV got giga Buffed & ES is still goated.
  • Deflection: This also got giga buffed so stacking it will help our defense even more.
  • ES Recharge: This will also help our defenses a bit.
  • Resistances: Stack as much as you possibly can here so you allow other items to focus on DMG.

BOOTS:

  • EV | ES | EV/ES Base: Any of these three will be perfectly fine.
  • Movement Speed: Obviously
  • Deflection: This got a giga buff so stacking it will help our defense even more.
  • ES Recharge: This will also help our defenses a bit.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.

BELT:

The belt depends on what you manage to get. We have multiple options:

Rare: You can stack attributes, resistances, life or anything else that you need.
Unique: You can go for Ingenuity to power-up the stats of your rings.
Unique: You can go for Shavronne's Satchel to recover our ES with our Life Flask
Unique: You can go for Headhunter if you get lucky or rich.

RINGS:

  • +Flat Damage: This is the best stat to have on rings. Try get as many as you can.
  • % Increased Damage: This is a decent option but not as good as +Flat.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Leech Mana with Phys Dmg: This is a good option to have in case you're having mana issues.

AMULET:

Annointement: Since Subterfuge Mask got nerfed we will most likely go into more offensive choices. You can go for Overwhelming Strike or if you want a more Budget Friendly option, Serrated Edges.

  • Level of Melee Skills: Obivously a great way to increase our Dmg.
  • Critical Hit Chance: This will help our damage a lot and also help us cap Crit.
  • Increased EV and/or Max ES: Getting this will really help our defenses even more.
  • Increased Global Defenses: This is also great for defenses.
  • Resistances: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.
  • Attributes: Depending on whether you need it or not based on your other items.

In the future, we can try get the new Amulet base called Absent Amulet which can potentially give us Reaper's Invocation or Cast on Critical for free. By adding Profane Ritual on those, we can get our Power Charges that way.

BUILD IN PROGRESS. All tests are happening live on twitch.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Most Recent Updates:

Added Ailith's Chimes & Charge Profusion II for Auto Power Charge Generation on Mantra of Destruction.

  • If you cannot afford it keep using Reaper's Invocation + Profane Ritual + Charge Profusion II + Overabundance II + Compressed Duration II

Added Herald of Ash + Magnified Area II + Fire Mastery in the place of Reaper's Invocation for more AOE dmg.

  • Make sure you keep Herald of Ash as low as you can.

Added Breachlord's Amalgam instead of Ricochet II for insane damage on Falling Thunder.

  • If you cannot afford it keep using Ricochet II

Added Pinpoint Critical on Hollow Focus

Added Elemental Armament II on Hollow Resonance

Added Blazing Critical on Charged Staff.

Added Rapid Attacks II on Killing Palm

Added Clarity I on Wind Dancer

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

SKILL INFORMATION:

  • Whirling Assault: This is our main ability for both AOE and Bosses. This ability will generate Combos for us so we can use other abilities in our kits.
  • Falling Thunder: We can use this ability for both Maps and Bosses, it has a wide clear and a really good one-shot potential for single target. We need to build up Charges. Explanation below.
  • Tempest Bell: This has been buffed recently with its limit being increased to 3 and the ability to add Ancestral Call II in it. We use the bells to deal with bosses.
  • Mantra of Destruction: When building up Combos with Whirling Assault, we can expend them to gain a brief empowerment with this ability. This ability will also serve as our Combo generator in the future with Ailith's Chimes.
  • Charged Staff: After we can gained a few Power Charges, we expend them to trigger this ability which will empower our hits for a few seconds.
  • Hollow Focus: This spawns random bells around us, which deal good AOE and Single-target dmg, and can also serve as a good Power Charge generator with Killing Palm for single target.
  • Hollow Resonance: This is the bell on our back, which will deal massive damage both AOE and Single-target and constantly Hits. This will also help us build up Stun which will eventually help us trigger Way of the Mountain later on.
  • Reaper's Invocation: We use this with Profane Ritual into it so we can be able to generate Power Charges when we kill enemies. How it works is simple: Kill enemies, then click on Reaper's Invocation which will trigger Profane Ritual and give you the charges.
  • Ailith's Chimes is the way we automatically generate Power Charges, however it can get a bit expensive. The free version above works perfectly fine.
  • Killing Palm: This is only used on our Ghostly Bells that randomly spawn from Hollow Focus so we can get Power Charges, since they are all Cullable. This is mainly used for Bosses.
  • Herald of Thunder: Not a bad Spirit Gem to have, especially while using Charged Staff which will help with our clear.
  • Wind Dancer: A great defensive aura, since we're focusing on EV and can also knock them away if we're hit.
  • Herald of Ash is a great replacement of Reaper's Invocation once you manage to buy or get Ailith's Chimes.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

POWER CHARGES:

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

HOW IT PLAYS:

MAPPING:

If you have Ailith's Chimes then you just spam Whirling Assault into Mantra of Destruction for Charges.

You spam Whirling Assault. You want to use Reaper's Invocation so you can grab your Power Charges from the enemy corpses and use them on Charged Staff. You can then proceed with spamming Whirling Assault again, pop Mantra of Destruction for empowerment and then Reaper's Invocation again. You can choose to use Falling Thunder on full Power Charges to obliterate the whole screen. Make sure you always keep Charged Staff active.

  • Just Spinning:

Whirling Assault x2/3 > Reaper's Invocation > Charged Staff > Whirling Assault x2/3 > Mantra of Destruction

  • Spinning+Thunder:

Whirling Assault x2/3 > Reaper's Invocation > Charged Staff > Whirling Assault x2/3 > Reaper's Invocation > Falling Thunder

BOSSING:

You start by using Killing Palm on the Ghost bells that spawn around you, this will give you Power Charges. You can choose to either use those Power charges for Charged Staff and then use Killing Palm again for more Power Charges so you can then go to the boss with a full stack.
On boss you start with Whirling Assault x2/3 times, this will give you enough combos to use Tempest Bell + Mantra of Destruction and then you simply use Falling Thunder.

  • Falling Thunder:

Killing Palm (5-6 Charges) > Whirling Assault x2/3 > Tempest Bell > Mantra of Destruction > Falling Thunder

  • Charged Staff + Falling Thunder:

Killing Palm (5-6 Charges) > Charged Staff > Killing Palm (5-6 Charges) > Whirling Assault x2/3 > Tempest Bell > Mantra of Destruction > Falling Thunder

Most Recent Updates (Passive Tree):

Removed One with the River

Removed Step Like Mist

Added Dizzying Sweep

Added Catalysis

If you are struggling with Attributes you can consider going for Enhanced Reflexes as it gives us Increased Dexterity, which means you'll be able to swap around what you need.

If you got a good Time-Lost Emerald you can also get yourself The Fabled Stag as this will not only give you some attributes, enhance our combos and also get hit by your jewel.

If you are struggling with mana go for Considered Casting.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

ASCENDANCY PRIO & TESTING:

Way of the Stonefist > Hollow Focus > Hollow Resonance > Runic Meridians

On Runic Meridians you want to use:

  • Helmet: Saqawal's Rune of Memory OR Resistances
  • Body Armour: Craiceann's Rune of Recovery + Craiceann's Rune of Warding
  • Gloves: Rune of Culmination
  • Boots: Farrul's Rune of the Chase OR Farrul's Rune of Grace

EXPLANATION:

Way of the Stonefist is too good to skip. The conversions are super strong from early game.
Check Mod Conversions here.

Hollow Focus as second has proven good aswell, since Whirling Assault just hits all the bells dealing even more damage.

Hollow Resonance increased our damage significantly, especially if you have decent crit for both AOE and Bosses.

Runic Meridians gives us some decent utility and/or defenses that we can utilitize with runes.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

JEWELS:

Sapphire
Here you can look for Max ES, Crit dmg bonus, Crit hit, Mana on kill

Emerald
Here you can look for Atk speed, Atk Dmg, Ele Dmg

Time-Lost Emerald:Can be placed by the cluster where Heartstopping is so we can hit multiple nodes with the Stupefy cluster aswell. Currently have:

  • Critical Hit Chance
  • Attack Damage with Quarterstaves
  • Increased Evasion

Atlas Tree

ATLAS EXPLANATION:

Moba didnt add Priorities for the Atlas, therefore by me just picking nodes, you'll not know what i went for first.

Since we are allowed to literally pick every single node in the new Atlas, you will NOT be able to Refund any of your points, apart from the Multi-Choice nodes. Therefore, it's important to NOT juice one specific thing too much, otherwise it will become super tough without being able to refund and change it.

What you want to do instead, is spread your points to multiple different things and slowly slowly build up that juiciness for your maps. For Example:

Start with Shrines, then go a bit into Essences, then into Strongboxes, then into Magic Monsters, Rare Monsters, Effects, Rogue Exiles etc etc. Try to be balanced.

If you can handle them, try to path into +modifiers on tablets asap.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

BREACH NODES:

Mobalytics still doesnt have priorities for the Atlas.
