This is my leveling setup for a Lightning Caster on the top side of the passive tree. If you want an easy, step-by-step and always up to date guide then this is it!

After making my original guide in 0.3, EVERY other leveling guide for sorc has copied this!

✨15+ test runs completed!✨

We are mainly using cold infused Spark. Frost Bomb is used for exposure and to generate cold infusions for Spark while Orb of Storms is used for extra damage and generates lightning infusions that can be used with Arc or Flame Wall.

Elemental Equilibrium: You can rush this early if you wanna convert lightning infusion from Orb of Storms to cold. I didn't like it and i still think Frost Bomb will be faster from A4. But try it out and see if you like it.. main problem is too low cast speed at low level to make it worth imo. you also lose lightning infusions so no Arc or Flame Wall.

💪Attributes

  1. enough dex for dex gems
  2. enough int for int gems
  3. strength/int mix (you want some mana from int but str also will increase your hp!)


Here are the stats to be on the lookout for!

⚡Damage: (on your wand/focus/staff/amulet/rings/jewels)
Staves have been massivly buffed in 0.4! so don't only look for wands and focus!

  1. +Level of Lightning Skills (rare)
  2. +Level of all Spell Skills (rare)
  3. Gain Damage as Extra xxx
  4. Cast Speed
  5. increased Lightning/Elemental/Spell Damage
  6. Lightning Penetration (most bosses dont have any lightning res in the campaign.. except for a few in A3 (Doryani for example) but they only have 30 so not a lot of pen is needed


🛡️Defence:

  1. Gear with resistances
  2. Energy shield
  3. Evasion (if you find a good hybrid armour then you can probably alocate more dex/str and use it.)
  4. Armour


🔹Runes/Augments

  • weapon: damage as extra lightning or % spell damage runes
  • armour: any resistance or attribute you need

Build Variants

This is the reccomended setup to swap to after completing the campaign as its been tested fully in 0.4. If you dont have enough points, drop some energy shield or damage nodes.

💥Boss rotation for MAX DPS

  1. Precast Sigil of Power
  2. Elemental Weakness + Frost Bomb
  3. Activate Mana Tempest
  4. Spam Spark (make sure you are also using your Spellslinger)

⚠️ Try out different gem setups in Cast on Critical! Double Arc is nice for bursting bosses but a single Arc and damage support like Deliberation etc can be better for mapping! ⚠️

if your having mana issues use Efficiency II and/or Zenith II / Fluke in your Cast on Critical.

Cast on Critical > Spark > Spellslinger (user jeweler orbs on wand)
