The "Variants" section takes you from level 1 all the way to the ultimate min/maxed delete the screen and permafreeze 20mil DPS bosses version.

0.5 Update

I've made a pass at all variants in this build to smooth out the progression and make notes for things we already know about 0.5

As we get the full passive tree, I'll make another full pass.

As we get major discoveries (new league mechanic, gems, etc.), I'll make significant updates and post the changes here.

Quest Bonuses:

A2 - Charm Duration (Valley of Titans)

A3 - Mana Regeneration Vial (Venom Crypts)

A4 - 3x Resists (Halls of the Dead)

A4 - Mana Recovery from Flask (Abandoned Prison)

I2 - Resists (Qimah)

Gear Stats to Notice:

Lightning Skills, All Spell Skills, Cast Speed, % Damage as Extra X, Increased Spell Damage

Staffs are buffed in 0.4, but in campaign take whatever gives you the most damage output between focus/wand vs staff.

Regex for Vendors:

"mov|rare|st spe|ll d|extr|ed light|^\+.*ills$"

Movement speed, rare items, cast speed, spell damage, damage as extra, lightning damage, gem level modifiers

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Absolute delete the screen with simple 2-button setup and 1-button Spark from there
  • Excellent travel speed with Lightning Warp
  • Perma-freeze on bosses and Abyss monsters
  • None [anyone who says it's not tanky hasn't watched my video :) ]

Build Variants

Worth mentioning that you have an option on the skill tree from here.

The BEST thing to do is to manage your curse skill passive points onto Weapon Set 2, and to bind your Elemental Weakness to Weapon Set 2. You then alt-skill more damage onto Weapon Set 1. You will see me do this in the passive tree, but it is NOT REQUIRED. **It is a lot to manage, and if you are on your league-start run, the gold for respeccing mistakes is precious**
