Build Overview

This starter setup is a Lightning/Bleed Hybrid Build and is great for those of us who enjoy exploring synergies and a combo based style of play. It rewards the use of melee and ranged attacks in tandem with one another and goes one step further by combing 2 unlikely partners in crime Bleed and Lightning damage!

Throughout the early to mid campaign this works superbly but then the build benefits from specialising in Lightning Spear and Rhoa Mount for the mid-cruel to early mapping portion of the game.

Build Variants

Basic Rotation: Rake > Disengage > Lightning Spear > Rake or Thunderous Leap or Primal Strikes (whichever you prefer, rake feels the best imo!)

This works well on tanky elites & boss fights too but if you want to compound damage further you can throw the following combo:

Storm Lance > Thunderous Leap > Disengage (you can then repeat this or move into the above combo!)

This works so well because we focus on picking up nodes such as Stalk and Leap, Adaptable Assault, Focused Thrust and any other passives that reward us for weaving between melee and ranged attacks seamlessly.

This, in unison with Herald of Blood & Herald of Thunder gives us some really solid AoE clear potential. Be sure to shark for a +spirit chest piece as soon as possible, the ability to combo the two herald as early as possible is HUGE!

This build is currently really honed in on DPS and I haven't found the need to spec into evasion much yet due to the damage output. However, earlier that were evasion focused were in place of the elemental damage increase nodes and this felt much better in terms of survivability. I would advise experimenting with what works best for you!

The gear has been updated for the early endgame variant but please note, the starter setup can work with VERY little, provided you are focusing on phys and lightning damage on as many pieces as possible. The starter gear does not need to stack accuracy, the later variant does! Kitoko's Current are also a great choice for the later build if you're struggling to get electrocutes off! Wake of Destruction are nice to have but not mandatory!
