Flameblast / 
Oil Grenade build for 0.5.5, trying to focus on speed and clear, as this build already has a ton of damage built in. Opting for a 
Cast on Dodge setup with gemling for a speedy setup.
You'll level as the very powerful grenade merc setup and once you reach lvl 52 you'll swap to Flameblast, you cannot swap any earlier because Flameblast is a lvl 52 gem.
Gear: It's really simple and easy to gear this character, you just want Life/resist and rarity on every single piece. %inc fire damage is nice on rings, but it's a small boost and not needed. Also keep in mind, strength is always a good suffix because it provides life, you have a lot of free affixes on this build.
You're also going to stack both ward and life, to get the highest amount of ward you want to use Tier 1 bases of any hybrid base. You have a small choice on the body armour, you can either use 
Runeforged Falconer's Jacket for 5% ms or 400 runic ward base with no MS. 
Fox Idol is also important as it'll give you 5% quality, which is both a DPS and speed increase.
These can be any tier 1 hybrid bases, I just have armour/es above because they're generally the cheapest but any of them work (armour/evasion, armour/es and es/evasion).
If you need spirit you can also use 
Soul Core of Azcapa in your crossbow.
Blackflame is another item you can go for, we bypass the downside and get a massive ignite magnitude. It's a good early pickup, but eventually you would want to replace it with a triple rarity gold ring. If you do use black flame, make sure you also use 
Withering Presence.
Amulet: 
Surefooted Sigil is the go to for speed, eventually you'll replace it with a +4 spells/5% quality rare. You can also use 
Fireflower early on for damage.
Anoint: 
Paragon is the best anoint, but might be expensive early on.
Burnout is a cheaper option if paragon is too expensive.

Cast on Dodge
Mana Remnants
You have 1 decision you can make here, you can either go for a 
Temporal Chains/
Blasphemy setup or use 
Mana Remnants for Khatal's Rejuvenation, as this will provide more CDR and near infinite mana.
If you opt for Blackflame you'll want to use Withering Presence with Prolonged Duration II and Chaos Mastery.
Because we're gemling, it's important we balance our gem colors for 
Gem Studded, it's not hard to setup you can just equip any crossbow skills and than just use any support gem of any color until you have all 3 equal. This will also count the gems in your weapon swap.
Because you travel so far on the tree, your attributes should generally be pretty free. You need high enough intelligence for Flameblast, but it shouldn't be an issue to solve all attributes as this build.
You'll want every jewel with flammability magnitude, these can roll on ruby jewels or sapphire jewels. Ailments inflict damage faster is also a strong stat.

I tried a version of this build in 0.5, the issue I found was that if you encountered a rare with say, Trail of Fire it would takeover the flameblast ignite and do no damage, how're you getting around that?
To be completely frank, the "dodging a million times to get through a map" looks like utter dogsht, it's like a meme build. Watching Fub turn down so many builds because they looked too slow, only to settle on this crap, makes me think it's a joke for a league that doesn't even matter.
