Ranger
DeadeyeThis is my leveling setup, can be done on both Ranger or Huntress if you want an easy and SSF viable way to do campaign in 0.4 - Below is a link to my endgame setup that is also updated for 0.3
The transition requires very little gold, but be sure not to gamble away all of it so you can respec your tree to the new build.

In act 1 it's very important to have gear with flat damage to attack, this can be any element or phys. Ideally at lvl 11 you want to get a Warden Bow with 2 sockets, place a desert, glacier or storm rune in here for a big boost in DPS (storm rune is the best, but any will do).
Movement speed on boots is also extremely good if you can find them, try to search the vendor every 1-2 lvls. I would never swap out movement speed boots, only replace them with other boots that have movement speed.
Besides that you're just looking for life/resist on gear, but flat damage is the most important.

Always salvage weapons with quality for whetstones and always salvage items with sockets for artificers orb, this is extremely important for gear upgrades throughout the campaign.
I also personally prefer to vendor all rares for gold to gamble in act 2 and act 3 for better gear.

Barrage
Frost Bomb is used to lower boss resistances. Try to pre-place before a boss spawns and keep up the stacks as it adds a lot of dps.
for Lightning Rod you can either use Concentrated Area or Lightning Attunement, this just depends on your gear (if you have a bunch of fire damage/cold damage to attacks, than Lightning Attunement loses a lot of value).
In general just use dexterity for your small attribute nodes. Use strength/int if you need it for gear or support gems.
your 1st Ascendancy point should be 
Gathering Winds into > 
Projectile Proximity Specialisation
In order: Gathering winds > Point blank > Endless munitions.
Lightning Arrow and 
Freezing Salvo to clear packs. Depending on your damage, you'll want to use Lightning Rod once into a Barrage > Lightning Arrow for rares.
On bosses use Freezing Salvo on cooldown and place down multiple Lightning Rod(usually aim for 8-10 on bosses, can pre-fire them on most bosses).
After that you're spamming Lightning Arrow and using Barrage on cooldown.
1) charm recharge - act 2
2) stun threshold from venom reward - act 3
3) tattoos - lightning resist/int/fire resist - act 4
4) boon - movement speed - interlude
In order: Gathering winds > Point blank > Endless munitions.
