0.5: Frost Wolf Oracle Leveling and Endgame Build

Do you long for the moon? Are you alpha? Do you have a secret love for Twlight?

If so, welcome to Werewolf Druid. This build goes all in on the werewolf's cold and speed to level fast and blast maps. This was an absolute blast to play last season, and it hasn't had any major nerfs, so will be incredible in 0.5.

Oracle or Shaman:

Right now Shaman gives a ton of rage, rage generation and max rage, giving us an incredible amount of extra damage (werewolf skills are "attacks", so all scale with rage). On top of this we have massive amounts of defence from Reactive Growth and Avatar of Evolution. Finished off perfectly with cold exposure from Turning of the Seasons. So you really can't go wrong as a shaman. Damage boost, expose and massive defences.

However despite all of those buffs, Oracle is even stronger once we get deeper into the game. Its big strength seems to be the new hidden nodes that will unveil on the passive tree. and its Forced Outcome which gives us a HUGE boost to critical hits. You can either go shaman early for some early game buffs and then switch later. Or level fully as Oracle. For the purpose of this guide, I'll be keeping everything Oracle.

So what is the Ice Werewolf Burst?

Simply put, we freeze the enemy fast and then do a combo to instantly delete them, and it goes like this:

Buff up:

• First set up buffs of Arctic Howl for added cold damage (to freeze them easier). and Lunar Blessing for cold damage and moon burst (you get this late in the game, so don't worry early on).

Freeze enemy

• Pounce to your enemy
• Freeze the enemy by blasting them with Lunar Assault

Once Frozen:

• Pop Savage Fury for super fast attack speed
• Shred goes crazy for huge damage and generates ice shards
• pop Cross Slash for big finisher and to pop all shards on the target.

Updated a version for 0.5, fully tested in all content, goes HARD. enjoy

This build focuses on 3 main things to make it work.

• Speed
• Freezing
• Burst

We want to freeze enemies as fast as possible, go to town on them with shred to generate as many ice shards as possible and then burst them.

Map Clearing:

I'm not going to sugar coat it, this is a melee build. So you won't be clearing the screen like a ranged build, with 1 button. However, we can still perform very well, albeit with more work.

Buff up:

• First set up buffs of Arctic Howl for added cold damage (to freeze them easier). and Lunar Blessing for cold damage and moon burst (you get this late in the game, so don't worry early on).

Go Crazy:

• You won't be doing a full freeze set up here. Pounce around from pack to pack, or move with our super fast werewolf movement speed. And then swipe big AoE cleaves with Lunar Assault, this will either 1 shot most mobs, or will freeze them in 1 shot. Then either press it again, or Shred to finish them off.
• Once you unlock Cross Slash you can add this to deal some extra damage to rares.

Boss Rotation:

Buff up:

• Freeze the enemy by blasting them with Lunar Assault

Important note on attributes:

This build is a druid, so we are in the str/dex part of the passive tree. Therefore, we are a str/dex build, that will use str/dex gear. This gear has armour and energy shield.

However the wolf is also mainly dealing ice and focusing on rapid fast melee attacks, so we use lots of support gems that require dex such as Close Combat I, Rapid Attacks I etc. Therefore on your gear, always try and keep some attributes, and when speccing your passive tree try and add a mixture of str/int
