Crossbow: Since we use Accuracy on Weapon -> Added Weapon Damage node, you want to get a crossbow with high Accuracy mod. Ideal crossbow would be high Physical Damage % mod + Accuracy + Elemental Damage % on prefixes, but they're very hard to come by. However, having high phys flat, or other elemental flat mods work fine as well. Even no accuracy works, though you'd want to spec out of the node and grab something else in that case, and use a different rune. Having Accuracy does make it easier for you to cap crit at 100% even from long range.
Suffix priority would be: ASPD = Crit DMG% > Projectile Skill Level > Crit Chance%
Amulet: Choir of the Storm is being used to 1. Bypass elemental resistance with crit 2. Give you an avenue for crit without having to use other skills on bosses. However, Lightning Bolt level 18 requires 178 intelligence, which makes you extremely attribute hungry on gears. Alternative option is taking elemental penetration nodes, and rely on Galvanic or Voltaic grenade for shock, as Shockburst cannot apply shock. In such scenario, you'd want to slot in Conduction on either skill. Another. This will resolve your attribute/resistance problem much easier to solve, as well as giving you damage via proj level, and additional defense through ES%/EV%, life, etc. Alternatively, using Azis can solve the resistance penetration aspect, but you'll still need to find a way to apply shock reliably for bosses.
Anoint: Stormcharged > Best DPS option. Consider nodes like Patient Barrier, Ancient Aegis, Beastial Skin depending on your gear state for defensive option.
Armour: General armour choices will be ES/EV. You can choose to emphasize ES or EV depending on gears you come across. Resist capping is going to be challenging since you need a lot of attributes. You need 116 str for endgame Crossbow, 178 int for Choir of the Storm, 205 dex for level 20 Dex based skills (can compromise with lower level ones but you want as much dex as possible for higher accuracy = crit/aspd) You want pretty much every piece of gear to have attribute on it, which can be challenging.
Gloves: It would be great if you can grab accuracy and flat attack damage, but not a must. Attack speed and crit damage are also great, but not a must either. I ran with gloves with no flat, high accuracy, no aspd, no cdmg, and cleared T3 pinnacle bosses easy, though T4 was quite challenging.
Helmet: This is another place you can grab more Accuracy, as well as Crit% if you are having difficulty capping your crit. Going for high ES helmet can give you a lot of evasion since we take Subterfuge Mask node.
Rings: You will need a lot of attributes and resists from the rings if possible to make your gearing a bit easier, or allow you to grab luxury stats on pieces like gloves and helmet. Since the build does a lot of damage, and you have high flat damage by default on crossbow, you should be able to clear all general contents up to T2-3 pinnacle bosses even if you focused on defensive stats(suffixes) as getting 4-6 mod rings with flats/accuracy is extremely expensive at the moment.
Prefix priority -> Flat (lightning > phys > fire = cold) = Accuracy > Life = Evasion
Suffix priority -> Attributes = Resistances (Whatever you need to make the build function and survive)
Belt: This is a great place to "fix" your resistances as well as a source for much needed strength. Grabbing more life is always nice but 4 mod belt is still very expensive. It might be best to have few cheaper belts so you can mix and match to fill the gap when you upgrade/change gears.
Jewels: You can grab Crossbow Reload % (Emerald Only) which helps a lot on utility as well as practical DPS (sheet DPS does not include reload time AFAIK). Good mods for other 3 are Evasion%,Lightning DMG%, Elemental DMG%, Crossbow DMG%, Attack DMG%, Accuracy%, Shock or Ailment Magnitude% on prefix side, then Crit%/CDMG%/ASPD%/MSPD% on the suffix side.
If you don't feel bothered by the reload speed, or plan to take the reload speed nodes, and your gears focus more on ES for survivability, you can opt to take Sapphire with ES% or Start of ES recharge%. Sapphire also has general Crit%/CDMG% (avoid "for spells") and Elemental DMG%, as well as magnitude%.
TL:DR Build is very attribute intensive if you use Choir version, but it allows you to "one button" bosses, making it more expensive to gear.
*** For those who want to push this build to the limit ***
Offense: Consider using The Deepest Tower and taking low life nodes for MASSIVE damage scaling. (This will provide additional gearing challenge so keep that in mind)
Defense: Consider using Essentia Sanguis, along with Mystic Harvest. Once you can get your ES high enough to survive any one shot, you are practically invincible as long as you are hitting something.
