Everything You Need to Know About Silver

Silver is one of the most important resources in Subnautica 2. Players will need to find multiple Silver veins to craft some of the essential items required for progression.

Where to find Silver

Silver is not as easy to come across as Titanium or Copper. Players will need to dive into deep caves, which are usually inaccessible without speed and oxygen upgrades. Silver is commonly found on the walls of deeper caves throughout areas near the starting Lifepod.

Large Silver Vein near Lifepod

One of the places with the highest amount of Silver is a cave located roughly 220 meters north from the starting Lifepod. Swim north until you find a wreckage site with boxes and metal. The cave is directly to its west.

The cave walls are filled with small and medium Silver ore, which can be obtained with the Survival Multitool.

Use Silver to Move Faster and Increase Oxygen Capacity

Silver is used to create some important tools in Subnautica 2, such as:

  • Standard Air Tank: Increases oxygen capacity by 30 points. Requires 2 Titanium, 1 Rubber, and 2 Silver.
  • Wakemaker: The Wakemaker allows you to swim faster and has a Flashlight function. Requires 1 Silver, 1 Wiring Kit, 1 Grease, and 1 Basic Battery.
