Overview

In Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, there are different avenues you can take and different build paths for different classes. The Talent tree offers extra complexity and customisability to your play through, but it can be daunting, especially when you’re playing a class you’re not used to.

In this article, we will break down Skitarii and give you one of his best builds, with weapons, talents and more. This build is full crit, and using the Arc Rifle, you can deal massive damage to hordes, bosses, elites and basically everything you face.

Check out the video from the creator of this build, Mister E, for more information on how to play it!

Primary Weapon

In this build, it doesn’t really matter what Primary Weapon you take, and you should take the Primary Weapon that you prefer. However, as this build is all about electrocuting enemies, the blessings on this weapon go hand in hand with our build and allow us to basically 1 or 2 tap the enemies.

Perks

  • +25% Damage vs Carapace Enemies
  • +5% Melee Critical Chance

Blessings

  • High Voltage: +25% Damage vs Electrocuted enemies.
  • Skullcrusher: Target receives 4 Stacks of +10% Damage if already Staggered, to a maximum of 8 Stacks on target. Lasts 5 seconds. Can be refreshed during active duration.

Shock Maul

Secondary Weapon

The Secondary Weapon of choice is the Arc Rifle. This is going to be the big daddy, the damage dealer, the weapon we will be using the most.

Perks

  • +25% Damage vs Flak Armoured Enemies
  • +5% Ranged Critical Strike Chance

We choose to take crit over headshots bonus, as headshots do not really do too much on this weapon. However, taking crit can deal considerably more damage. Traditionally, you do not aim for the head with this weapon, so it really doesn’t make sense to take it either.

Blessings

  • Cavalcade: +5% Critical Chance for every 10% of magazine spent during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
  • Charmed Reload: 1 bullet loaded from Reserve on Critical Hit. Procs once per Crit. The shot does not need to hit an enemy.

The reload speed on this weapon is awful, so taking Charmed Reload and getting it to near-max stats allows us to basically free-fire this weapon without running out of ammo or forcing us to reload. Make sure to charge it first.

Curios

For Curios, you do have a lot of freedom, and you can pick what you want, but in this build we recommend Herald’s Seal (Reliquary), Guardian Gloriana (Casket) and Blessed Bullet (Reliquary).

Talent Tree

Important things to note about this Talent Tree are that by taking things like Piercing Sight, Last Stand Relay, you will have a very high level of crit chance with your kit and weapon loadout.

Calculated Priority is also really strong because it gives you extra damage after killing Elites, which is really easy with this weapon. This, paired with the Galvanic Marking Array, just gives you ridiculous amounts of damage.

Retribution Conduit is a good choice as you will charge your weapon at the start of combat, which allows you to enhance your damage output.

By taking this Talent Tree, you will gain a lot of additional bonuses, which will make killing the enemies a lot quicker.
