Best Teams

Iroi is a generalist Anima support, who can slot in any team on Upper and Right sides of the Esper Circle. However, her best use is to support Shinku in a Charge team

Shinku Iroi Charge Team

Shinku, Iroi, Zero, Hathor

The most optimized team for Shinku and Iroi. Since Shinku takes very long field time, Iroi passive to extend the duration of Blossom helps in trigger Charge more often. In addition to that, her healing really help sustain Shinku who face-tank a lot of hits. Finally, she's the only Attack buffer who can slot in the team without losing Charge reaction or the instant Esper Meter filling from Zero.

Mono Blossom Team

Jiuyuan, Iroi, Zero, Nanally/ Hotori

Iroi can replace either of the two limited characters in mono blossom team, with her Blossom duration extension helping to stay at max 6 Blossom buds all the time.

Attack buff doesn't affect Blossom damage, but it affect the hit damage of all characters, on top of healing and reviving.

Iroi Sakiri Dual Buffer Hexed Core

Iroi, Sakiri, Flex, Flex

Anima and Incantation are next to each other's in Esper Circle, and both elements has strong buffers in form of Sakiri and Iroi. With both of them together, you enable Hexed reaction, which replicate a portion of all Anima and Incantation damage dealt. On top of highly buffed Attack, any team can output solid DPS

Nanally can benefit from the due greatly, as well as Mint. Either can play a Hyper carry style and build Sakiri with full Cycle Intensity to increase Hexed damage.

Baicang can surprisingly benefit from Iroi to buff his hit DPS on top of Sakiri's buff, while Hexed can replicate his high Incantation damage. In that team he would need a Chaos character such as Lacrimosa or Daffodill to trigger Scorch.

Best Weapons

  • Limited BiS: The Wrong Gate
  • Paid Alternative: Fluff of Fleetness
  • F2P Alternative: Youthful Fantasy
  • Early F2P Alternative: Clear Skies

The Wrong Gate is Iroi's signature, and fits her perfectly. She scales both her healing and DPS with Attack stats, and this Arc gives massive amount of ATK% and increase Anima DMG% after she heals.

The free alternative Youthful Fantasy is perfect match for Iroi, and comes very close to her signature Arc in performance.

Clear Skies is a free A-Rank Arc you can get easily and fill as a decent alternative in early and endgame.

Best Cartridges & Modules

  • Cartridge: Speedy Hedgehog (S) / Shadow Creed (S) / Fireflies and the Forest (S)
  • Cartridge Main Stat: ATK% / Anima DMG%
  • Substats: ATK% / Attack / Universal DMG% / CRIT Rate

There are three builds for Iroi, each with its preferred stats and Cartridge.

General Support:

When solo supporting any team beside Shinku, Iroi can use Speedy Hedgehog (S) to buff ATK of the team. That's the default and easiest pick.

Support in Shinku Team:

In a Shinku team, we already have Zero holding Speedy Hedgehog (S). Beside that, Iroi has no room to stay on-field and do DPS, so she's better off with the secondary choice for support Shadow Creed (S) for more attack and therefore healing.

Sub-DPS in Blossom Team:

Blossom team also have Zero holding Speedy Hedgehog (S), but in this case, Iroi has more room to play on-field dps in certain burst window. This leads us to equipping her with a proper DPS set such as Fireflies and the Forest (S) for Anima damage and Crit DMG.

Main Stat depending on build

As a pure support, Iroi best stat is ATK%, whether in main stat on Cartridge or substats. It directly scales her healing.

However, in a sub-DPS role such as in Blossom team, Iroi can swap to Anima DMG% as main stat, and CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG substats alongside Universal DMG% and ATK%

Skill Priority

Support Build: Skill > Ultimate > Basic Attack > Support Skill

Skill is the main source of both healing and DPS, focus on it, and level the rest of her kit later if you have spare resource. Normal attacks only has value in sub-DPS role, while almost useless in a full support role.

Awakenings & Resonance

Awakenings
A1Iterated Prisoner's Dilemma
A2Strategy: Tit for Tat
A3Trait: Cooperative
A4Trait: Retaliatory
A5Trait: Transparent
A6Trait: Forgiving
ResonanceResonance: Primate Among All Things
ResonanceResonance: Self-Proclaimed Crown of Creation

Awakening Priority

Full support: A5 > A3 > everything

Sub-DPS: A1 > A2 = A5 > all else

Her A1 help her build imagination stacks from off-field, and hasten Imagination stacks gain with her attacks. This help her DPS role and smooth the rotation.

Her A5 increase her ATK buff strength, which is a DPS gain for the entire team. Usually A1 is better, especially in a team with hyper carry that deals massive DPS.

However, the value of it is a bit small (145 flat attack buff at max level) so in a dps build A1 is a valid pick over A5.

How to Play

Iroi is very simply to play, just switch in, use her press skill, and switch out. Her hold skill is rarely used, and fits only Iroi as a sole DPS style (not recommended in any setup).

If you want Iroi to deal more DPS and there are few seconds to spare with her on-field, you can build Imagination stacks with normal attacks, then spend them with Ultimate to deal damage.

Using Ultimate while imagination stacks not reaching the thresholds, it will just heal allies instead.

Her def ignore buff is triggered automatically when Iroi heals an ally, which is a small DPS increase for a few seconds. You don't have to worry about it.

How to revive fallen allies

Her revive work on these conditions:

  • Fallen allies will enter Regression state and turn into a sheep
  • Iroi need enough Imagination built-up
  • Use Iroi Ultimate, start consume Imagination, and revive fallen ally temporary
  • You can swap to revived ally and use them as long as her Imagination points still hold
  • Revived ally return to Regression state after Imagination runs out
