Event Overview

The Festival Of Accord: Flamefete is one of multiple released festivals that temporarily alters the Grand Hub’s appearance and adds a collection of new minigames and time-gated gear. As the name implies, the event and its corresponding gear are often themed around either fire or summer.

Duration

The event lasts from July 23rd to August 6th (UTC), with most cosmetics and gear unlocked persisting after the event ends. The only exceptions to this are Alma, Gemma, and Erik’s summer outfits which are only accessible as paid DLC after the event expires. Though no formal news has been made, it is likely that this event will get a rerun in the future given past precedent in games like Monster Hunter: World.

Event Quests

During the festival a large number of event quests, some new and some returning from previous events, are live again. If you have missed limited events, this is your best chance to catch up and earn their respective cosmetics before they leave again.

For hunters wanting a list of the current and upcoming events added by the Flamefete Festival, a current list is kept at our Event Quests Tracker.

Limited Rewards

During this event, several exclusive rewards have been added for hunters to collect and grind. Assembled below is a list and a guide on how to get each item.

Earn these by logging into the game for as many days as possible during the Flamefete event.

Equipment

Afi α armor

This High-Rank armor is crafted using Flamefete Tickets and a mix of Firestone, Firecell Stone, and Dragonite Ore. The tickets are issued as daily rewards and as a rare reward during hunts. All three of these ores are found primarily in the High-Rank Oilwell Plains by interacting with Mining Outcrops.

Following the pattern of previous event armors, this armor is weaker than endgame armors, but adds new drops to the loot table with its two piece effect (including more Flamefete tickets) and boosts Attack and Defense during the duration of the Festival of Accord: Flamefete event with its four piece effect. For grinding out the limited time armors, this is clearly the best choice of equipment.

Felyne Afi α armor

Similar to the standard Afi α armor, this high rank armor is crafted with Flamefete Tickets and Dragonite Ore. While not suitable for endgame play, it features a very unique appearance, so make sure to craft it to unlock the layered armor version!

Diver α

flamefete diver set

This High-Rank armor is crafted using Diving Tickets and assorted Rompopolo and Gypceros materials. All three of these can be obtained by challenging the Pick Your Poison event quest. As a level five armor with primarily mobility effects, this armor set will likely be favored with fashion hunters and is not recommended during fights.

Felyne Aloha Set α

A matching set to the Diver α set meant to give your palico the same summer charm as the Flamefete Festival!

Cornpopper

cornpopper

The Cornpopper is a unique High-Rank Gunlance themed to look like a giant piece of corn. It can be crafted with Flamefete Catalog tickets, Rathian materials, and Vibrant Pelt+. Though it features a unique skill that increases damage while overheated and reasonable stats, its main use in the endgame is with the newly introduced layered weapon feature.

Arch-Tempered Uth Duna and Arch-Tempered Rey Dau

As of July 23rd and the start of the Festival, Monster Hunter Wilds has decided to keep the expeditions for the arch-tempered monsters around indefinitely and potentially permanently. Though both the previously introduced Rey Dau and the newly introduced Uth Duna are no longer time-limited, these eight-star quests are some of the hardest that the game has to offer! Be on your guard and prepare well when facing these challenges, hunters.

Along with the release of this arch-tempered threat, the Uth Duna γ certificate, the Uth Duna gamma armor, and the Felyne Uth Duna gamma armor for Palicos have been added to the game as new top-tier armor. With striking colors and a festive tropical appearance, they will surely be in high demand by any fashionable hunter.

Miscellaneous

During the Festival of Accord: Flamefete, hunters can fight alongside the support hunter Fabius, the leader of the Hunter’s Guild. A new variation of a large barrel bomb called the Beach Barrel Bomb is available as a login reward or by converting Flamefete Tickets at the Provisions Stockpile.

In addition, the Flamefete Barbecue Meal has been added to the Grand Hub with a meal voucher being issued for it alongside the login bonuses. This meal is clearly tailored for fighting the new Arch-tempered Uth Duna, so any challengers should make good use of it!
