Blast/Raw Sword & Shield Build

Build Overview

This build has it all! It's got damage, survivability, comfort, versatility, and it's also super beginner friendly. With this build there's no stopping you. You can ignore the monster's roar, take reduced damage, have a lot of sharpness, etc. This build by far is one of my favorite ones that I have made and I hope you enjoy it too.

Damage Skills

• Agitator
• Weakness Exploit
• Critical Boost
• Offensive Guard
• Flayer

These skills are the main engine that drive our damage output. Agitatorallows us to gain a damage buff when the monster is enraged which usually happens most of the hunt. Offensive Guard is a great skill to have since we are using a shield and are able to pull off perfect guards and clashes. The other skills we don't have max investment but still increase our DPS.

Comfort Skills

• Earplugs
• Razor Sharp
• Handicraft
• Shock Absorber
• Adaptability

These skills are our comfort skills so that we have little to no management while we are out on a hunt. Earplugs allows to completely negate monster roars so we can continue dealing damage. Razor Sharp and Handicraft takes care of our sharpness level so we don't really need to worry about sharpening our weapon during a hunt. Shock Absorber is always great in co-op play that way you don't get interrupted by other players.

Survivability Skills

• Divine Blessing

This skill is always good to have it gives us an extra 50% damage reduction on a predetermined chance.
