Swift Reflux Sorceress Build Guide for PvE
Build
Just like Critflux, you gain access to instant spells but with a higher CDR. It’s a very fast paced playstyle that offers little to no burst, but can achieve high consistent damage that requires the longest time to ramp up. It is a playstyle that alternates between ranged and melee.
Pros
- Access to teleports
- Relatively cheap to build
- Rotation is piano based, meaning you press skills as they light up.
- Doesn’t require a high lvl of cooldown gems.
Cons
- Requires constant up-time on the boss to be competitive with the damage output.
- Makes use of melee to hit some spells.
- Not advised to be played before 1445 due to being mana starved and very relic gear reliant.

How to play
The main goal of this build is to keep constant up-time on the boss, pressing spells as they light up and ideally utilizing blink to avoid downtime in your rotation.

- Phase Leap / Blink
We start off with as our ranged skill, follow up with and Spacebar to cancel the animation and move close to the boss. After we cast to apply a synergy debuff just before icicles actually land. As we are now in a melee position we can follow up with and and finish off with {skill.sorceress-punishing-strike}} and

EXPLANATION
Instaflux builds don’t have a set rotation, but instead follow a priority system. Sometimes, cooldowns overlap, meaning we have multiple skill options to choose from. The priority system is determined on three things - cooldown, damage and distance.
and are the two highest DPS skills in our kit, so they are cast in pairs and have the highest priority. Due to animation cancel of , which puts us at melee range, we now cast our melee combo which consists of and . Weaving spells such as + are usually cast between either pairs as they become available. has the lowest dps of all skills and is used when everything else is on cooldown to help with maintaining boundless state.
Generally, you would want to follow the cast priority in the table above. For more advanced users, if the target moves in a predictable manner you may choose to pre-cast spells at their destination.
Animation canceling
Instant cast builds usually only cancel one skill, which is . We animation cancel it every time with spacebar. It is the fastest way to cancel and allows us to continue the rest of our rotation uninterrupted while also allowing us to reposition.

Popular alternative: Swiftness Ring - 1600 Crit, 800 Swift.
This alternative provides the user with a more fluid and faster rotation. It makes it easier to maintain boundless at the cost of sacrificing some burst potential. However, as Swiftness also reduces your cooldowns, the overall DPS remains similar.

gear tripods
HIGHEST PRIORITY - Critical for the build to work
MEDIUM PRIORITY - Good damage gain
LOWEST PRIORITY - Nice to have but can be ignored
Gear set
Nightmare 4-Set and Dominion 2-set the default choice after reaching Relic Gear. Nightmare provides us with attack speed, cooldown reduction and mana regeneration. While Dominion provides us with a flat damage increase and additional cooldown reduction.
Bracelet
Bracelets have a large pool of potential effects and it can get very expensive trying to obtain specific ones. The best way to approach this item is to use one with the correct combat stats for your build and not worry too much about the extra effects until you can afford to spend a significant amount of gold for them.
Your primary goal is to have a roll of the two primary stats we use, meaning Crit and Swiftness. Swift is preferred to have the highest roll between both.
If you decide to start rolling for additional effects, look for any of the following:
- Hammer
- Wedge* (only if you already have Hammer)
- Superiority* (On successful Basic Attack against a foe, Damage +1.5/2/2.5%)
- Precise
- Raid
- Fervor
- Circulate
