The new League of Legends season has started, and what a change it has been. This season has some of the best quality-of-life changes in a while. In recent years, we had random objectives added, dragons that changed the map dynamics, and a ton of obsolete changes. In 2026, I am very happy with a lot of the changes Riot has made. In fact, in 2025, Riot made many good changes, and it is pleasantly surprising to see them carry them over into the new year.
With every new season, many items are added, changed, or even reworked. It can be pretty difficult to understand what each item does and whether it is still suitable for your favourite champion. In this article, we will break down all the item changes and discuss the new items.
In this article, we will discuss and recommend champions for some of the new items. However, I recommend downloading the Mobalytics App to import the latest builds directly into your client. The item changes have affected many champions, so a build that was great in 2025 might not be effective in 2026.
