Laning Against Sion
Sion will look to cheese the bot lane bush at level 1. Do not walk near any bushes at level 1 so he doesn’t get an early health advantage.
Always stand towards the opposite of the lane so it’s very hard for Sion to use his Q on you.
When he hits level 6, avoid overextending or using any movement tools like dashes as he can cast his Ultimate R and take you down. Furthermore, he has great roam potential post 6, so ping if he leaves the lane.
Strategy VS Sion
Sion can surprise targets that are walking around Summoners Rift alone by waiting in a bush and using his Q to take them down. Avoid walking in areas where you know Sion has been so its harder for you to get caught out by him.
Kite and disengage is Sion’s biggest threat in a team fight. Try to keep him away from your team so he is unable to get a good Q knockup.
Avoid grouping and fighting in the jungle as it will allow Sion to either get a really good knockup with his Q or get a really good Ultimate R off. Group together, but do not stand on top of one another so he is unable to get a multi-person knockup.
Sion Power Spikes
Sion’s level 1 and 2 is pretty strong if he is trying to cheese the lane. If he isn’t going to cheese, then he won’t be strong early.
The longer the game goes, the stronger Sion will become. Depending on his build path, he will peak at different items.
At level 6, Sion gains access to his Ultimate R. His kill pressure and roam potential increases a lot from here on out.
