During the later stages of the game, you will need to stick with your team at all costs. Malz is very immobile and vulnerable- so you cannot split push or stay in a side lane alone.
When sieging objectives like Baron, a tower or the Dragon. Stand towards the front of your team and threaten an engage with your R. Ulting a key target will allow your team to quickly pick someone off or take the objective for free.
Avoid team fighting unless your R is up. Malzahar is a weak team fighter without his R, so do not fight without it!
