Heavy power spike at level two which allows him to run an enemy down with his E, Q combo. This combined with his Passive and Summoner Spells may easily get him a kill on a squishy target.
Really good wave clear with his W, Q and Ultimate R. This causes him to gain priority really fast and it also helps him secure objectives with his Jungler.
Post-six, he can practically one shot an enemy with his combo while simultaneously re-positioning with his E. His E also makes him quite slippery, which allows him to evade ganks with ease.
Very vulnerable when his E is down which can allow him to be very susceptible to ganks. Enemy Junglers can take this opportunity to camp him relentlessly.
Reliant on items to win the game. If he is set back during the early game, he won’t be able to do a lot in the late game as he just falls off.
If he manages to get an early lead, he may be able to snowball if left unchecked. He falls off massively though so the longer the game goes, the worse it is for Lucian.
0 - 15 min
Get level 2 first and look for a favourable trade with the enemy. Gaining an early health advantage will help you out.
Focus on farming and looking for aggressive plays once the enemy uses an ability. Play around their abilities and look to abuse their cooldowns with your early game damage.
Rotate around the map so you can continue to farm and gain XP.
15 - 25 min
After your bot lane has moved to the top lane, rotate to the bot side of the map or somewhere else on the map so you can continue to farm and gain XP.
When no team fights are occurring, go to a side lane and push. It’s important that you continue to farm during the mid-game so you can get your items as quickly as possible. Do not just stay top if you can’t get anything done.
Use your mid-game power spike to look for aggressive plays and all-ins on enemies who try to stop you from split pushing or ones that are moving around the map alone.
25+ min
Stick with your team in the later parts of the game. If you walk away from them and die, it will be 4v5 and the enemy may be able to force a fight or end the game.
Focus the nearest enemy champion in team fights and watch your positioning. Hold on to your W for the right opportunity. Do not use it recklessly.
Stick towards the back of your team near the Support and ADC so they can peel and protect you.
Lucian's level 2 is a decent power spike as it allows him to go for a devastating all-in combo. The damage dealt is relatively high, and he can quite quickly kill the enemy with multiple combo rotations.
Level six is a significant powerspike, especially when Lucian is against an immobile carry. He should have an easy time clearing waves with it as well if he needs to recall.
The first item will be a massive power spike for Lucian as it allows him to deal a lot of damage. It will give him an inherent advantage, especially if he can capitalize on his level two power spike.
His first ability will be maxed out at level 9. This will give him a massive damage boost and will let him take over the mid-game easily.
Lucian is excellent during the mid-game as this is the time where he is the most powerful. He can now go to a side lane and split push due to his Passive and basic abilities. This is also why his abilities will hit like a truck, and he will frequently kill enemies.
At level 11, Lucian will be able to get his stage 2 Ultimate R. It can help him massively during neutral, objective fights and duels due to the amount of damage it dishes out.
Once Lucian unlocks his 3rd stage Ultimate R, he will be able to dish out tons of consistent damage, especially to low health targets. It will make it easier for him to burst down enemies.
Lucian will gain access to multiple items during this stage of the game. He will both be able to sustain himself, as well as deal hefty amounts of consistent damage.
Lucian's Q and E will be maxed out during this game stage. It will let him all-in enemies consistently and will allow him to reposition himself frequently.
