Nightspawn Activation
While Sprinting, you'll see your Omega channeling meter filling up. Once the Omega Boost hits a foe, you'll see your Nightspawn meter attached to your health bar glowing full. After 5 Seconds the Nightspawn meter will be fully depleted, and you can Omega Boost once again to reactivate it.
Anytime enemies are spawning, you should be Sprinting so that the Omega Boost is ready the instant a foe is attackable.
Nightspawn Uptime
The moment your Nightspawn deactivates, you should Omega Boost again. Both the large AoE damage of the Omega Boost, and the Nightspawn damage are vitally important to maximizing your damage output.
Even with a Common
Glamour Gain, you'll have enough Magick to constantly Omega Boost. (Nightspawn lasts 5 seconds, and 6 Magick /sec for 5-seconds = 30 (Omega Boost costs 30)
Split Damage
First your normal Attack or Special fires, and then it splits off as a Nightspawn.
For both the Special and the Attack, the Night Spawn gets produced whether or not the move actually hits a foe. The Attack always splits into the Y-shape, and Special rockets split off even if they just explode in the in mid-air.
Nightspawn Attack
To fully comprehend Nightspawn mechanics, let's take a look at the Nightspawn Attack.
The punch still has it's regular single hitbox, and then extending beyond that it has two unique Nightspawn-hitboxes. If a foe is hit with the regular attack hitbox (which is directly in front of
Melinoë) they will ONLY take normal damage and the night spawn does not affect them.
However if the foe is farther away from
Melinoë, they can get hit by one or both Nightspawn hitboxes.
- The foe is too close and takes damage from only the standard Attack.

- The foe in the back is hit by BOTH Nightspawn hitboxes.
In the above examples, we see the standard Attack is dealing 68 damage, and a Heroic
Flame Strike deals 75 Scorch Damage.
The second photo displays BOTH Nightspawn hitboxes hitting foe in the back.
- Therefore, that foe takes 102 Attack damage plus 150 Scorch damage from a single punch.
- Math for us nerds
- Rank V Nightspawn damage is 75%
- 68 x 75% = 51
- 51 x 2 = 102
Also, notice how far away the foe is, because just as important as the increased damage, the massively increased range of Nightspawn is what makes
Aspect of Nyx such a great weapon.
Nightspawn Special
When you have a Curse like Hitch, Blitz or Froth on your Special, the splitting rockets will spread across the room very effectively and inflict the curse on every foe hit.
Pair Nightspawn with
Shimmering Rockets and you're going to delete hordes of foes.
Omega Moves
Aspect of Nyx's Nightspawn only affects standard Attack and Special. Omega versions of either do NOT produce Nightspawns. Therefore, we won't be wasting much time or Magick using either one.
