62 Fear Medea Skull Build

The Aspect of Medea is easily the best weapon in the game. So it makes sense that I also think it's the easiest weapon to clear 62 Fear with.

The hardest part about beating the game at 62F is beating the timer in Erebus. That's why I focus on damage Boons immediately (Attack & Special), get two curses for Origination (XIV), and then spend the rest of the run building defense.

Pretty much all you need is Zeus on Special and Static Shock to get rid of Vow of Wards' Armor. Next you'll need a high damage Attack Boon, and if it doesn't have a curse, then I try to get another Curse on my Cast.

For Medea I always start with Cloud Bangle if I'm going for a High Fear run. Zeus is just so good, and I really want his Special and Static Shock

The only thing different I do for Arcana from my usual loadout is I don't take The Sorceress (I) because I plan on never using Omega Attacks once build gets going.

I skip a few other common Arcana so I can add The Lovers (XV) because 62 Fear Guardian encounters are brutal. Especially phase 3 Chronos

Also, I prefer Toula on this build because of the plan to get either Echo or Athena Death Defiance refill.

You'll notice I don't have a Rush or Gain Boon on this build. Not using Magick so I don't need Gain. I would only take a Rush Boon if its convenient and better than the offerings.

Also, none of the Gods in my God pool have Rush Boon I even want. Out of the available, I would've taken Ares'.

The bulk of my damage is coming from Attack / Sworn Strike and Special/ Heaven Flourish/Blitz. Always take Hera on Attack if you can. Good damage % increase and it's a great way to activate Origination (XIV).

On High Fear, Snow Queen is always great to have, especially if you get it early in Erebus like I did this run. None of the other Boons matter too much. I took Sword Ring for extra damage since it was high rarity, and the other offerings were useless. Mutual Destruction was the hope, but didn't get it.

Echo came in clutch and offered me Support Support Support. Used those Death Defiance's to get through Cerb and Tartarus, then purposely lost all DD in chamber II so Athena would appear from her keepsake. It was a big gamble, but I knew it'd be easy win if I got DD refill.

What do you know, Athena came through as well. I still had 3 Fate rerolls but didn't need them. She offered me Renewed Faith and I happily took. Went in to Chronos with all 4 60% DDs.

The most important thing with Aspect of Medea is learning how to use the Special as another dodge. You can't go flying head first into the enemy with it or you'll constantly eat damage and die.

Try to just barely graze the targeted enemy with the Special so you can avoid their hitbox, but still hit them.

The Messenger (VIII) makes you invulnerable, but the timing is tight. The moment Melinoë drops the cast, you see her turn red like Dark Side Hex. That's when you're invulnerable. It's really important in this strategy because you are always on top of the enemies.
