Subnautica 2: How to Craft the Rebreather

You will come across a point in Subnautica 2 when you will get this message:

This means you're going to need a Rebreather to progress any further.

That is because your oxygen depletes much faster in deeper areas.

Unfortunately, crafting a Rebreather takes some time, as it requires several specific materials.

Next, we will explain how to gather those materials and craft the Rebreather!

First of all, you will need to unlock the blueprint before you can craft the thing.

The blueprint can be obtained by scanning a fragment found in multiple locations, and luckily, you only need to scan one.

The location I recommend is the easiest one to reach: around 300 meters south-southwest of the Lifepod, inside a well-hidden Colony bunker.

Now that you have the recipe, you need the resources.

You need:

• 2 x Fiber Mesh
• 1 x System Chip

Getting Fiber Mesh:

Fibrous Pulp is easy enough to find to make Fiber. Strong acid is the harder of the 2. It's gathered in the west from some glowing plants that look like jellyfish.

You then put this inside the Processor to make Strong Acid.

Combine this with Fiber to get Fibrous Mesh.

Making a System Chip

A system chip is much easier to make since the materials are usually close by.

This is crafted by combining:

• 1 x Wiring Kit
• 2 x Quartz

A Wiring kit is made using:

• 1 x Copper Wire
• 1 x Silver

And finally, Copper Wire is made using 2 x Copper.

This should get you the Rebreather to explore those deeper parts of the ocean!!!
