Best Ways to Farm Capacitors Star Wars Zero Company
The three ways to obtain Capacitors are through Missions, Operations, and Influence rewards.
Capacitors are one of the scarcest resources in Star Wars Zero Company, and they gatekeep some of your most important Den upgrades. Unlike Credits or Intel, you can't simply buy them or grind a repeatable source. Every Capacitor in a playthrough comes from a rare pool of rewards, so how you collect (and spend) them matters.
All the Capactiors in the world won't help you if you have no money, however, so if you're strapped for cash click here to learrn how to earn more Credits.
The Most Important Rule for Capacitors
Because Capacitors are limited and permanent, the single most valuable habit is to check every reward before you commit to anything. Missions, Operations and campaign choices can all quietly offer a Capacitor, so don't auto-pick the next story mission without scanning the alternatives first to see if one is available as a reward.
Additionally, an important element of Capacitor ownership is to ensure you aren't wasting them on sub-optimal rewards. Imnproving the Black Market, for example, is not overly worth it until the late game, whereas increasing your crew's weapon Mod slots is much more impactful. If you've wasted Capacitors on the former, you may not have enough for the latter - managing the opportunity cost is just as important as finding ways to gather them.
How to Get Capacitors
There are three main methods for obtaining Capacitors: Missions, Operations, and Influence rewards.
Missions
When selecting a Mission, don't immediately jump to advancing the story. Take a look at the different Missions available and, critically, their rewards - not all rewards are made equal, and, unlike Operations, Missions have no costs to consider.
Missions rewarding Capacitors do tend to be a bit more difficult to complete, but they are well worth it and one of the best sources for obtaining the elusive upgrade material.
Operations
Much like Missions, Operations offer various rewards upon their completion. Unlike Missions however, Operations have an associated cost - Intel. Choosing the optimal mission is important as you can't complete them all.
Look for Operations with Capacitors in their reward pool and, if none are around, Operations with "? UNKNOWN" rewards. These have a chance to be Capacitors depending on the Operation type and choices presented.
You can guess what the rewards of these Operations will be based on the description, but if you really want to know for sure you can always make a save, commit to the Operation, and then reload if you don't find what you're looking for.
Influence
Two Influence Zones offer Capacitors as rewards:
Zone Herf, Tier 1
Zone Dorn, Tier 2
Whereas not directly offering Capacitors, Zone Cresh Tier 2 increases Intel generation which enables you to launch more Operations to hunt for them, and Zone Grek Tier 2 improves Influence generation to unlock the capacitors.
This logic also applies to the Espionage talent available to custom Operators, granting 5 extra intel at the end of a Mission.
