Credits are primarily obtained from Missions, Operations, and Influence rewards, though there are many other methods too.
Credits are the most sought-after resource in Star Wars Zero Company, being required for upgrades, weapons, utility, new operators, and more. If you are staying on top of all these things you will undoubtedly run out, so here are the best ways to get more.
If it's not Credits but instead Capacitors limiting your Den progress, check out how to get more Capacitors.
Stop Spending Credits Wrong
Before worrying about acquiring more Credits, first it's important to recognise areas where you're wasting them. Yes, you can always get more, but you'll be able to afford more of what you need if you are smart about where you spend them.
The biggest Credit sinks are Upgrades and the Black Market. Some upgrades, such as increasing Weapon damage and Mod Slots, are absolutely worth the sometimes hefty price tag. Others, such as increasing Medbay slots and Black Market rewards, are generally not worth it until the very late game.
Speaking of the Black Market, you are mostly better off ignoring it. You will obtain plenty of equips and utility through Influence, Operation and Mission rewards, so spending hard-earned Credits on these is very often a wasted venture.
How to Farm Credits
There are three main methods for obtaining Capacitors: Missions, Operations, and Influence rewards.
Missions
By default, finishing a Mission awards at least 1,000 Credits, but you can obtain more by taking on more challenging fights or ones specifically offering extra Credits in their reward pool.
Some Missions award more than others, so if you're particularly strapped for cash, keep an eye out for the more lucrative contracts.
Operations
Much like Missions, Operations offer various rewards upon their completion. Amongst the reward pool are Credits, so make sure to check out what an Operation is offering before committing to it.
Some Operations won't list the specifc Credit reward, instead saying "Unknown Credits". This means that the Operation has a choice involved, and depending on how you resolve it, you will earn more or fewer Credits.
You can read the Operation text to get a good idea of what choice or Operator will yield the best results, but if you really want to make sure you get as much money as possible from these Operations, you can always Save, take the Operation, and then reload if you don't get the desired outcome.
Influence
Two Influence Zones offer Credits as rewards:
Zone Jenth, Tier 1 - 2500 Credits
Zone Leth, Tier 2 - Missions grant +250 Credits
Whereas not directly offering Credits, Zone Cresh Tier 2 increases Intel generation which enables you to launch more Operations to get Credits.
Operator Talents
There are two Operator talents that can improve your Credit generation. The main one is called Thievery, which grants +250 Credits at the end of each Mission, but the Intel-granting Espionage also indirectly impacts Credit generation following the same logic mentioned above.
Selling Unused Items
Across Influence, Operation, and Mission rewards you will no doubt acquire a treasure trove of weapon mods and utility items. Some of these can be very useful, but others realise their usefulness through being sold at the Black Market.
If in doubt hold on to your items, as you will unlock more slots to equip them across your squad, but in a pinch this can be a decent way of obtaining some extra Credits.
Avoiding Injuries
While not a method of acquiring Credits, an important way to avoid unnecessarily burning through them is to limit your team's trips to the Med Bay. By default, recovering from an injury costs 600-800 Credits, which is no insignificant amount considering this can be over half a Mission's yield.
Your Operators will get injured through two main ways: combat and Operations.
For avoid injuries in combat, try playing more defensive and only exposing one unit with the Heavy Specialization who can attract enemies and keep them off your squishier fighters. Trick is a great option for this, because even if he gets knocked down, he can get back up without an injury if his talent is upgraded. Check out our combat tips article for more info on succeeding in combat!
For Operation injuries, check the risk factor before going in, and try to assign Operators that match the task's description - both the character and their Specialization can impact how well they do, plus some RNG, so either use educated guesses or save scum as outlined earlier.
