Today we're going to be sharing a 1 - 45 leveling guide for the Plague Doctor in Season 10 of Hero Siege. While originally meant for Season 9, it should serve you just fine in the newest season throughout normal mode. We'll go over how to start, the gear loadout recommended, and also the skill spec!

Level 1 - 15
The real path for this leveling build begins at Level 8 when you unlock Plague Of Rats. It's extremely easy to use, and one of the Plague Doctor's strongest skills. Until then however, you'll want to go with Crematus, as it's a safe and solid skill that can easily mob you up to the level needed for POR. If the high cooldown on this skill is bothering you, another option is to swap over to Toxic Flask, which is widely regarded as a good skill for Plague.
When going through the first Act, try to complete any side quests you can. While the quests along the way are completely optional, it's overall recommended to complete them for the extra EXP. Also be sure to complete the Coffee questline early on, as it's widely regarded as one of the best potions for leveling.
Level 16 - 45
By level 16, you should still be pretty heavily invested into Plague Of Rats after unlocking it at Level 8. This is essentially the skill that you'll be rocking for a while now, but you still do want to grab others select skills. One skill to take note of is Lifeblood Aura which can be activated to give you increased survivability and regen for your health.
Another fantastic skill you can grab is Crow Mask's Presence which is fantastic for boosting your resistances, something which is crucial for Hero Siege. No matter what character you play, you will always want to get high resistances.
For your POR sub-tree, you should primarily focus on increasing the amount of rats you have for even more damage. You can also grab the node directly above named Bite Tethering, to help with your mana upkeep. Leptospirosis is also a great node to take, as it gives you what is going to become one of your only methods of inflicting Poison Break. Once you unlock Level 40 and can grab your first augment however, pick the left-most augment named Ratsunami, which is great for clearing.
once you reach a point where you have extra points to spend, it's recommended to pick up Exploding Mice, and also Chant Of Weakness. Also don't forget to dump points into Crow Mask's Presence and Lifeblood Aura if you find yourself struggling with survivablity.
Finally, a skill you can and also should be aware of investing into when you hit Level 30 is Randy The Rancid Rat. This skill is fantastic for not only movement, but just helping you out in combat overall. It's recommended that you try to reach the Randy Rider augment once you hit Level 40 to further help with traversing using Randy.
Attributes
For your attribute spec you're going to be using an INT/VIT split depending on which one you need more, so pick it up as needed. A solid baseline to remember is that your Intelligence is your skill damage, so feel out the correct balance in the game for yourself. To start with though, consider running:
Intelligence: 124
Vitality: 60
Gear & Charms
This isn't a gear dependant setup, but overall there are some recommendations you can pick up when you reach the trader in Act IV. Here's an overview of some key items we're running when leveling. Remember that anything with All Skills, or Poison Skill Damage of any kind will be great to have, even if not Satanic rarity or higher.
Spirit Urn: Gives a decent boost to Intelligence, and also mana upkeep + replenish, which helps with POR.
Sentinel's Headguard: Grants increased defense and also boosts your resistances, very handy for leveling in the game.
Marsh Shroud: Grants increased Poison Skill Damage, and also gives +1 to all skills. If you have slots on it and gems to spend, place Emeralds to increase the poison damage.
Shield Of Shattered Elements: Not a requirement, but handy for reducing enemy defense, and also boosting your own defense.
Guardian's Waistband: Fantastic for boosting your overall defense, including your resistances, which contributes to your leveling process having little pushback from elemental enemies.
Arcane Slayer's Talisman: Grants you +1 to All Skills, and also increased energy which helps you with your POR uptime.
Crow's Feather: Obtained naturally during the story, and is great for passive movement speed.
Loot Filter
Here is the loot filter used for this build. To use this filter, you can press pause, and navigate to the loot filter tab. Clicking IMPORT should give you a prompt to enter a code, which when applied will set your loot filter to the one used for this build.
The code is too long to paste, but you can find it here if you wish to use it.
