Today we're going to be sharing a 1 - 45 leveling guide for the Marauder in Season 10 of Hero Siege. While originally meant for Season 9, it should serve you just fine in the newest season throughout normal mode. We'll go over how to start, the gear loadout recommended, and also the skill spec!
Thanks to JuxtAPoser (YouTube / Twitch) for sharing this build! Check out their video here for more information.
Level 1 - 7
For the first 8 levels, you'll be speccing all of your points into Bouncing Grenade. This skill just got a pretty substantial buff in Season 10, which makes it possible to stick with it for even longer if you feel you can due to the increased damage.
Level 8 - 45
Once you hit Level 8 (and assuming you not longer want to run Bouncing Grenade) you'll be swapping over to primarily using TheBig Bo-oM as your new active skill. BB is great for not only mobbing, but also bossing. It's a large AOE explosion on impact, and can be scaled massively as you go through your campaign run.
You can max this skill out fully, as you'll end up running it up until the end of the final act.
When you reach Level 18, you can optionally choose to pick up Unstable Bomb, which is a great passive that will only further increase your damage output. In case it wasn't already clear, it does apply nicely to Big Boom.
One passive to be aware of that might be nice to have is Flail Mastery, however be aware that it's only going to benefit you so long as you are using the Mace weapon type. If you are however, this is a nice passive you can use to get stronger pretty easily.
For the sub-tree with Big Boom, primarily focus on the right side of the tree for better AOE. Eventually we are trying to move towards the Molten Boom Augment at Level 40, making sure to pick up Pyro Enthusiast along the way, as it gives FIre Break. Fire Break removes the defense of the target to your attacks, boosting DPS majorly.
Assuming you choose to stick with the Bouncing Grenade, here is the sub-tree picks we are using. Generally you want to move towards grabbing Resetting Fuse, which contributes overall to the amount of bounces (and in turn DPS) the attack will end up dealing.
Attributes
For your attribute spec you're going to be using an INT/VIT split depending on which one you need more, so pick it up as needed. A solid baseline to remember is that your Intelligence is your skill damage, so feel out the correct balance in the game for yourself. To start with though, consider running:
Intelligence: 144
Vitality: 40
Gear & Charms
This isn't a gear dependant setup, but overall there are some recommendations you can pick up when you reach the trader in Act IV. Here's an overview of some key items we're running when leveling. Remember that anything with All Skills, or Fire Skill Damage will be great to have, even if not Satanic rarity or higher.
For your Gems on this build, you'll be looking to pick u pand slot in Rubies, due to their buffs to your Fire Skill Damage.
Doomsaw: A solid weapon to run for your entire campaign playthrough. Has great buffs to your skill damage, and also reduces enemy fire resistance.
Elementalist's Silk Shroud: Has +1 to All Skills, and also extra Fire Skill Damage and resistances. It can have Gems slotted too, handy for Rubies.
Soul Funneling Loop: +5 to all Atts, and also gives healthj and mana stolen on hit, great for survivability and uptime.
Girdle Of Resilience: Lots of boosts to your survivability, and also a small increase to your movement speed and Intelligence.
Runescribe's Striders: Provides Movement Speed, and also buffs to Cast Rate & Intelligence.
Crow's Feather: Obtained naturally during the story, and is great for passive movement speed.
Loot Filter
Here is the loot filter used for this build. To use this filter, you can press pause, and navigate to the loot filter tab. Clicking IMPORT should give you a prompt to enter a code, which when applied will set your loot filter to the one used for this build.
The code is too long to paste, but you can find it here if you wish to use it.
Conclusion
Overall, Marauder is a strong and reliable character for leveling through the Normal campaign in Season 10.
With powerful area damage, solid scaling, and plenty of flexibility in how you build the character, Marauder can comfortably take you from Level 1 to 45 without requiring highly specialized gear.
Follow the recommended skills, attributes, and equipment above, and you'll have a strong foundation for continuing your Marauder's progression beyond the campaign.
