Today we're going to be sharing a 1 - 45 leveling guide for the Illusionist in Season 10 of Hero Siege. While originally meant for Season 9, it should serve you just fine in the newest season throughout normal mode. We'll go over how to start, the gear loadout recommended, and also the skill spec!

Level 1 - 45
The best part about leveling this character is that from Level 1 you can essentially dump all of your points into Age Proliferation, and run it through most of your campaign playthrough. Illusionist is one of the easiest classes to level, and this is in part why.
You will eventually unlock Dimensional Displacement right below AP, which is great as it serves as your movement skill, helping you clear maps faster. You'll only need 1 point in it once unlocked, so make sure to put that point in when possible.
As for the sub-tree picks you want for AP, you can find them below. Most notably when you hit Level 40 you want to spec into Scorching Magic, which fires scorching fire balls towards nearby monsters. It's extremely powerful.
Later on, your passives that you should pick are Expansive Mind, which helps you with Mana upkeep and replen, followed by Precognition, which further boosts your Arcane Skill Damage. Lastly, you want to run the Temporal Heroes active skill, which gives you a rather strong summon to aid in fights. You can actually put quite a few points in this, so long as you're not leaving the previously mentioned passives high and dry.
For the sub-tree skills in Temporal, you want to gradually work your way towards Summon Support on the right-most augment node. This node will give you a number of fantastic buffs which help tremendously with your life and mana. The overall idea with picking the sub-skills for Temporal is to reduce the cooldown so that you have more uptime for the buffs.
Attributes
For your attribute spec you're going to be using an INT/VIT split depending on which one you need more, so pick it up as needed. A solid baseline to remember is that your Intelligence is your skill damage, so feel out the correct balance in the game for yourself. To start with though, consider running:
Intelligence: 124
Vitality: 60
Gear & Charms
This isn't a gear dependant setup, but overall there are some recommendations you can pick up when you reach the trader in Act IV. Here's an overview of some key items we're running when leveling. Remember that anything with All Skills, or Arcane Skill Damagewill be great to have, even if not Satanic rarity or higher.
If any of your gear has sockets, make sure you are using Amethysts on them to help boost your Arcane.
Book Of Revelations: Boosts to your overall Cast Rate, in addition to extra Arcane skill damage makes this a great pick for moving through the campaign.
Aetherweaver's Veil: Grants enhaned Defense, and also a good amount of Intelligence and Mana. Good choice for a headgear to sit on.
Bandit Lord's Shroud: Really good for survivability. Lots of buffs to your life and mana, with the extra benefit of added Arcane damage.
Girdle Of Resilience: Lots of boosts to your survivability, and also a small increase to your movement speed and Intelligence.
Aetherflow Treads: Lots of Arcane on these, and also boosts to your movement speed and hit recovery.
Swiftsoul Band: Increased cast rate for your skills which in turn is also a DPS boost, and also life replen to help with your survivability.
Arcane Slayer's Talisman: Grants you +1 to All Skills, and also increased energy which helps you with your uptime.
Crow's Feather: Obtained naturally during the story, and is great for passive movement speed.
Loot Filter
Here is the loot filter used for this build. To use this filter, you can press pause, and navigate to the loot filter tab. Clicking IMPORT should give you a prompt to enter a code, which when applied will set your loot filter to the one used for this build.
The code is too long to paste, but you can find it here if you wish to use it.
