Overview

Damage is important in Aniimo, and with so many DPS options in the game, picking the right one can not only be tricky but also make or break your endgame runs. This tier list ranks every Nova-stage DPS by digging into their full kits, based on their setup speed, resource efficiency, self-sufficiency, and boss performance, among of course their raw stats.

This list was curated by our expert, CoffeeASAP. You can check out his video for full explanations!

Ranking Explanations

S Tier

  • Fulmintis: The best DPS in the game. Crits refund resources, boost crit chance further, and stun enemies, creating a snowballing loop of damage, sustain, and control.
  • Malevsera: Gets stronger as its health drops and can spend health to fuel its own damage, healing back afterward in a fully self-sustaining loop.
  • Irisalis: An overloaded kit with damage-dealing clones, cost reduction, team healing, and self-revival, offering absurd value for a single DPS.
  • Grizbo: Simple and strong. Its ultimate instantly fills its rage meter to skip setup, then cashes out marks for big damage.
  • Gachapus: A luck-based kit whose ultimate can bypass RNG entirely to enter a powered-up mode with stronger attacks and resource generation.

A Tier

  • Fenmane: Chains lightning bursts into stored, marked damage for a second burst, seen as the closest thing to S tier if a good setup is found.
  • Pawney: A boss-killer that explodes in damage once an enemy is stunned/broken, with what's called the best ultimate animation in the game.
  • Infergon: Applies its own fire stacks almost instantly for a massive self-sufficient damage boost.
  • Lunara: A complete, self-sustaining DPS whose abilities buff attacks, restore resources, heal, and permanently boost damage, clearly outperforming Helion.
  • Waleetle: Charges up to unleash a much stronger spin attack, especially against vulnerable enemies.
  • Thornblade: Runs a clean, high-execution combo loop where skills empower basic attacks and reward precise counter timing.
  • Stellarys: Was once the top-attack character before a nerf, but remains reliably strong thanks to clone summons, mobility, and CC escape with minimal setup.

B Tier

  • Helion: A safe, self-sustaining starter DPS with no glaring weaknesses but also no standout broken mechanic.
  • Ignitis: Snowballs into a room-clearer against groups but loses its identity and power in single-boss fights.
  • Cornet: A fast, safe ranged attacker with easy crit bonuses, held back by vulnerability and expensive stronger attacks.

C Tier

  • Glynsera: A build-charge, unleash-one-big-attack character that works but is slow and repetitive since everything must be rebuilt after each burst.
  • Scorchhowl: Hits hard but relies heavily on precise dodge timing and burning resources all at once, making it inconsistent.

D Tier

  • Sherro: The highest ceiling in the roster on paper, but it demands too much water setup and resources for the payoff it gives.
  • Irisal: Builds damage far too slowly compared to every other DPS, and is fully outclassed by its upgraded form, Arisalis.
