The Third Volume is unlocked in Chapter 7 of the Guardian’s Journal. Players must first enter the Realm of Remembrance, then alternate between discussions with the Iron Menial and a merchant that can be found by opening the map in the Roundtable Hold and looking for the quest marker after exhausting the Iron Menial’s dialogue. After executing the merchant and returning to the Iron Menial, players will be tasked to “Find the demon merchant in Limveld.”
As usual, players will need to play Guardian and start the expedition in the Realm of Remembrance in order for the mission to take effect. In addition, an expedition against Libra can potentially cause issues as the objective requires him to appear in Nights One and Two. Players will need to collect 10,000 runes before reaching the objective marker and then tell the demonic merchant “I want the tome” in order to complete the objective. From there, simply complete the expedition and, regardless of win or loss, the quest should progress.
Finally, players will need to talk to the Iron Menial after acquiring the tome and exit the Realm of Remembrance in order to use the Third Volume as a relic instead of as a quest item.
