Build Overview

Video discussing leveling from 1-60 as Holy Light Aura into Arbiter of Justice.

Welcome to Allie's guide on Arbiter of Justice Autobomber! This will serve as a starting point weather you are new to D4 or want to come play a Paladin. This guide will serve as both a Leveling Guide and an Endgame Guide allowing you to accomplish everything you want while also making it easy to farm gear for other builds.

I plan to be highly competitive on the Leaderboards on Paladin when they release as both a Solo Player and a Group Player playing both Carry and Support builds. Any any all future guides will use this one as a starting off point to get the gear needed to get them going. With that said, lets talk about Autobombers!

This build will be utilizing Arbiter of Justice's Wing Strikes to automatically target and kill enemies around you. Not only will this require you to do... nothing but through Arbiter Form we will hit the Movement Speed Cap making for a very fast build. The rest of our build will simply look to add as many buffs onto this as we can. You should only ever have to use Falling Star and Advance as the only two buttons to move around faster.

The goal of this build is to give you a classic Allie experience of a low button build that is strong for everything you want to do. Your hand will be held through the whole process so you don't have to do any thinking and you can just follow along and have fun!

If you have any questions, I stream every day on Twitch and would be more than happy to help you out!

I'd highly recommend checking it out and, if you can't make a Twitch stream, leave a comment on the Video Guide and I'll help as soon as I can!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leveling this is also very comfortable as we will just use Holy Light Aura and Holy Bolt up until Level 15. Once you can take your Paladin Oath to a Disciple, we can start maintaining permanent Arbiter Form while using Wing Strikes for everything!

In the Endgame our build will have insane scaling potential through Armour due to Castle having infintie scaling! This allows us to utilize Armour as a defensive and offensive layer.

When combined with Block, high Health Regeneration, Resolve, and Fortify we will have a lot of defensive layers all working together to keep you very safe!

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Very easy leveling with great Endgame scaling.
  • I will hold your hand through every aspect of the build.
  • Amzing starting point to farm gear for any other build.
  • You will need to use NumLocking (more on this in the Skills Section)
  • 0 Button Gameplay + 2 Mobility Skills

Build Variants

This Build Variant will cover all the info you need to level from 1-60 starting as Holy Bolt and Holy Light Aura before swapping to Arbiter of Justice at Level 15 with your Disciple Oath.

Once you have reached Level 60 you are free to keep using the build to farm for a different build or to move on to the Pre-Torment 4 Build Variant that will hold your hand through the next steps of putting everything together.

Level 1

Make sure to set your difficulty to Hard. You can also level in Normal but Hard will be quite easy and a bit faster.

Please note that the Skill Tree utilizes some Re-Specs as we progress. Please turn on the Leveling Path and do as that says.

To start off you will be using Holy Bolt as your skill of choice and our goal is to rush to Holy Light Aura as soon as possible. The Skill Tree Section below will show you how to allocate every Passive Point as you progress.

If you just started playing, follow the Seasonal Quest to get a free Rare Weapon and Shield. Once finished head over to any area that has a Helltide in it and start working on the Tree of Whispers Objectives while killing everything you see. Make sure to open any Helltide Chests you can as they give quite a lot of experience.

You should also grab a Mercenary when you can. If you have not played D4 before you will need to to the Vessel of Hatred Campaign at least once on your Account ever to unlock them.

Level 4

At Level 4 you will unlock Holy Light Aura and this will become your main clear skill. This will have a Passive that will constantly damage enemies around you while the Active will send out Holy Bolts that should wipe most of the screen every time.

Simply walk around while using Holy Bolt to apply Vulnerable to enemies.

Levels 11-14

You will now unlock Fanaticism Aura, Rally and Falling Star. Fanaticism Aura will not do much but it will be a way to apply Weakened to enemies making them do less damage. Rally will simply give you free Movement Speed when used and Falling Star will be your Mobility Skill of choice for this whole build and a key portion of our build at Level 15.

This build will utilize NumLocking as a way to automate every skill in it with the execption of Falling Star. With NumLocking you can permanently have the abilities be stuck as pressed causing them to be triggered the moment they are ready to be used. This does require you to have a Num Pad on your Keyboard or some alternative to it. If you do not have one you will simply just have to use the skills yourself.

Setting this up is very simple and can be used in basically every build in the game. I have a Video Guide on how to do this here. While this guide is for Last Epoch, it is the exact same setup in Diablo 4 with secondary Keybinds for your skills.

Level 15

It is time to properly get this build going as at Level 15 you unlock Paladin's special mechanic, Oaths. With this you can choose an Oath to follow that will then change your skills of that type. In our case we will pick Disciple which will give you 4.5 Seconds of Arbiter Form every time you use a Disciple skill.

This will then cause you to transform every time you use Falling Star and later on Condemn. While transformed you will attack with Wing Strikes at nearby enemies and those Wing Strikes is what our build will be based on.

To start off the 4.5 Second duration will not be enough to have 100% uptime on. To maintain it at all times you will need to Temper the +x% Arbiter Duration (Utility Temper) on at least three items giving you enough duration for it to never fall off between Falling Star uses. Due to Enhanced Falling Star the cooldown of it will be quickly reduced given later on Arbiter of Justice's Seraphs' Wings will cause you to apply Vulnerable to every enemy that you kill.

Until then you can also choose to Temper +x% Arbiter Duration onto more items but once you unlock Seraphs' Wings only three rolls will be needed. If you do not get lucky and find this Temper by now that is ok, just use Falling Star as much as you can and keep using Holy Bolt and Holy Light Aura.

Level 20

At Level 20 you will unlock Condemn which should be NumLocked. This will give you even more uptime on Arbiter Form as it is another Disciple skill.

Level 24

You will now unlock Arbiter of Justice giving you another way to enter it for a much longer period of time. Seraphs' Wings a few levels later will massively scale your Movement Speed and Wing Strike damage to the point where you can now likely completely ignore both Holy Bolt and Holy Light Aura.

Levels 34+

At Level 34 you will unlock Exaltation making this whole setup significantly stronger. At this point you will be fully online assuming you have your +x% Arbiter Duration Tempers. For the rest of the leveling up until 60 we will swap out of Holy Light Aura to Defiance Aura and from Holy Bolt to Clash. You can simply NumLock Defiance Aura and Clash will be used to gain Block and Resolve through Enhanced Clash. It is up to you if you wish to use this skill as Defiance Aura healing your Merc will keep up 10 stacks of Resolve anyways.

Keep following the Leveling Path below and everything should be quite simple from here.

Aspects

All of the Aspects above are simply ideal and easy to find options. You can move them around as needed and you do not need to find any of these to be able to get all the way to Level 60. You should ideally keep Virtuous Aspect on your Amulet if you do find it. Although very rare, if you happen to find Aspect of Tyrael's Jurisdiction while leveling, you should immediately put that on your Amulet.

Remember that if you find a new upgrade, you can simply Salvage your old item to add the Aspect into your Enchanting Book which will then allow you to place it back onto your new item at the same rank. If you find higher rolls of the Aspects you are using but the item itself is bad, you can do the same thing to update the Book with a higher Tier.

Very Important - Tempers

This build will really care about it's tempers for it to work correctly. We MUST have three +x% Arbiter Duration (Utility Temper) on our items at all times to be able to maintain 100% uptime on Arbiter Form through using Falling Star. This Temper will randomly be unlocked from the many Temper Recipes you can get from doing any and all content and is just RNG.

As mentioned in the Leveling Guide above, it is ok if you do not immediately have this at Level 15 but as soon as you do unlock it you should stop what you are doing and add it to at least three slots. It is up to you on what to add it to between your Helmet, Body Armour, Legs and Boots. To start off I even recommend running it on all four items. Eventually as you reach higher levels you will not benefit from having four once you unlock Seraphs' Wings and should swap one of them to +1 to En Garde.

On your Amulet, Rings, Gloves and Weapons you will want to Temper +x% Wing Strike Damage. Having this on every single slot will be a massive DPS increase and nothing else will come close. Until you unlock this Temper, use anything else such as Vulneribility Damage or generic Damage.

Gear Stats

While leveling the specific stats you look for on your gear is not too important. Ideally try to find Strength on everything as it will increase the damage of all of your skills and Life to be tankier. Cooldown Reduction on your Helmet, Gloves, Amulet and Rings is also ok.

Try to ignore Attack Speed as Wing Strike will attack at set intervals that can only be lowered by Seraphs' Wings. While you can look for Critical Strike Chance and Damage it will not do that much this early on.

On your Weapon simply always use the one with the highest DPS and ideally look for stats such as Strength and generic Damage.

Jewels

You should use Rubys in your Helmet, Body Armour, Legs and Shield along with a Sapphire in your Weapon. Later on we will set up Rune Words but for now no common Runes are worth using over Rubys.

In your Amulet and Rings you should use a Jewel for whatever Resistance you are missing the most. If all of them are equal Emeralds are very good to use given Poison is very deadly or Diamonds for general Elemental Resistance.

Elixirs and Incenses

ElixirElixir of Precision
Core IncenseEmpty
Defensive IncenseEmpty
Resistance IncenseEmpty

Try to craft Elixir of Precision at the Alchemist in town or if you cannot afford it, Elixir of Destruction is a good alternative.

This is the order I recommend you follow when it comes to leveling with this setup. Please note that you will need to turn on the Leveling Path toggle to see the proper order as we do utilize some Respecing from Holy Bolt to Clash and from Holy Light Aura to Defiance Aura at later levels.

Please refer to the Leveling Guide in the Skills Section above for more details on all of this.

Paragon Board

The Paragon Board will be discussed in the Torment 1 Section of the build guide as this section only covers leveling from 1-60.

Divine Gifts

Andariel
CorruptedEssence of Anguish
PurifiedEssence of Screams
Azmodan
CorruptedEssence of Hellfire
PurifiedEssence of Sin
Belial
CorruptedEssence of Shadows
PurifiedEssence of Lies
Duriel
CorruptedEssence of Squalor
PurifiedEssence of Pain

Divine Gifts are Season 11's new mechanic offering you two gifts per Evil. These will do two different things and one can be placed in the Purified and Corrupted slot. Whatever is placed in the Purified slot will double its effect while the Corrupted one will still give it's effect with a nasty downside.

I recommend getting these as soon as you can and all of them except Belial are available while leveling.

Duriel's Gift can easily be farmed by finding a Helltide instance where there are people at his altar chain summoning him.

I would recommend trying to get Azmodan's Gift early on as there is also a Seasonal Journey requirement to kill him once on Hard Difficulty for 1 Passive Point.

Andraiel's Gift can be quickly obtained by doing an Undercity run with a Minor Tribute of Andariel that will guarantee she will show up at the end.

Mercenary

Make sure to grab Raheir as soon as you can to start getting experience with them. As for your Reinforcement, you can pick any one you want as you will need to eventually level all of them to max level anyways.

Raheir offers Raheir's Aegis which is great for leveling while Bastion and Inspiration are great nodes to have. Feel free to use any Merc you prefer if you are not a Raheir enjoyer.
