Build Overview

This build combines the power of Blessed Hammer with Arbiter of Justice creating an incredibly mobile build with fantastic AOE. It's quite possibly the strongest Paladin Leveling build for Lord of Hatred.

Blessed Hammer carries this build until you fully unlock Seraphs' Wings and all the Passives for Arbiter of Justice. Once you can rely heavily on the Wings to do damage Blessed Hammer takes more of a supporting role in the build for killing tough enemies quicker.

Focus on keeping your Arbiter of Justice buff up as often as possible. You can cycle your Disciple skills efficiently and constantly reset the cooldown on Falling Star.

The most important to upgrade along the way is your weapon by far. Constantly equip weapon upgrades and consider tossing a cheap Tempering on them to increase your damage. It may be tempting to put on a 2-h weapon while leveling, you can test this out but may suffer from the lost Toughness from dropping your Shield.

It's unlikely to come across many of these Legendary Affixs while Leveling up. Luckily you don't need any of them to level with ease. Use whatever you have that helps in anyway and look out for the ones listed in the planner. Always put the strongest Affix you find on your Amulet for the boost to it's power. Make sure to constantly be Salvaging Legendary Items to build up your Codex.

Most of your items along the way aren't going to have 4 stats on them and It's usually more important to equip upgrades as opposed to chasing the suggested bonuses. To put it simply you want to be looking out for:

  • Cooldown Reduction
  • Strength
  • Damage (or Vulnerable Damage)
  • Critical Hit Chance
  • Critical Hit Damage
  • Life
  • Armor
  • Resistances
  • Movement Speed

Tempering

In general you can Temper decent items for cheap early on and can put on any sort of Damage, Vulnerable Damage, Arbiter Damage, or Toughness options. Keep in mind It's common to replace items often while leveling up, so it may be wise to hold off on Tempering all together until you're around level 50+ to save time spent in town as well as materials.

Talismans

The Seal above shows three good options you can look for on your early game Seal as well as a great Charm Set you can utilize.

Like stats on items look for Charms that have Cooldown Reduction. Movement Speed and All Stats are common drops and are also good choices.

At level 10 put 1 point into Rally, this is not reflected in the Skill Tree above.

When you hit level 15 pick the Disciple Oath and Drop Rally to pick up Condemn.

Level 25 you finish Arbiter of Justice and its Passives.

From level 30 and beyond your Skill bar should have:

Holy Bolt to generate Faith

Blessed Hammer to spam for more AOE Damage

Defiance Aura for Toughness buff

Fanaticism Aura for Critical Hit and Attack Speed

Condemn to proc Disciple, give Movement Speed and provide Weaken

Falling Star for mobility and Disciple procs.

Max out Blessed Hammer > Fanaticism Aura > Defiance Aura > Falling Star

Mercenary

Subo is another great Mercenary for hire to get his map hack ability. If you want to go fast take Varyana, if you want to chill and see where all the enemies are at use Subo.

Aldkin gives you 20% damage reduction when standing in his Field of Languish.

How it Plays & Works

All you need to do is cast your Justice Skills Falling Star and Condemn to gain the Seraphs' Wings buff from your Arbiter of Justice Ultimate. The Disciple Oath is what allows this to happen.

The build is Cooldown based. Enhanced Falling Star is a key component to the success of this build since it reduces it's Cooldown every time you kill a Vulnerable enemy. Condemn and Seraphs' Wings apply Vulnerable to enemies, so it's easy to constantly be killing Vulnerable enemies to keep the Falling Star Cooldown constantly refreshing.

Spam Blessed Hammer as you go and use them to take down Elites and Bosses faster.

Holy Bolt is your Faith generator and another source of Vulnerability.

Cast Defiance Aura & Fanaticism Aura whenever they're up to keep your Armor and Resistance high.
