Build Overview

Bone Spirit is reaching long forgotten heights this season thanks to some critical bug fixes to Rapid Ossification and the incredible Melted Heart of Selig giving this build insane damage, survivability, and farming speed.

There's even an infinite resource combo that we're using between Melted Heart of Selig, Starlight Aspect, and Life On Hit. For season 11, Bone Spirit is back on top for general gameplay.

EDIT: Due to a bug with poltergeist's interaction with life on hit, this variant of bone spirit is currently under reconstruction.

The goal of the gear should be to get 100% Critical Hit Chance. The planner is over-capping on crit rate to account help for rolls/masterworks being different, so adjust Crit Rate rolls based on Critical Hit Chance needs.

Crown of Lucion is used over Heir of Perdition because of its Cooldown Reduction.

How it Plays

  1. 1) Cast Soulrift
    2) Cast Decrepify
    3) Giga Blast with Bone Spirit
    4) Dash to the next enemies with Aspect of Metamorphosis to stack Jah
    5) Jah teleport as needed for mobility

How it Works

Banished Lord's Talisman is no longer best in slot thanks to the nerfs to Overpower. Instead we dip into the Shadow Multipliers given to us by Aspect of Decaying Humerus as well as abuse the newly buffed Melted Heart of Selig

Essence in the build is generated from the interaction between Life on Hit, Melted Heart of Selig, and Starlight Aspect. Melted Heart of Selig will lower our Maximum Life which allows the newly buffed Life on Hit to heal 200% of our total Maximum Life, which in turn gives us multiple triggers of Starlight Aspect.

Life On Hit is incredibly strong in this build, as the Imprisoned Spirit's Aspect not only doubles our number of Bone Spirit, but that extra Bone Spirit will also then trigger another set of Phasing Poltergeist's Aspect hits. Which In all it allows us to hit 8 times per target (4 times in the Speed Farm variant) with a single cast of bone spirit, allowing us to gain infinite essence from Starlight Aspect.

Requirements

This build has some requirements to come fully online, and they are important to reach but not too hard to reach. Thanks to Supreme Bone Storm, Ghastly Bone Spirit and Blood Moon Breeches, the crit requirement is fairly easy to hit.

Bone Spirit Cooldown Reduction - How To Spam Bone Spirit

The goal is to aim to have your Bone Spirit on a low enough cooldown that the combination of Rapid Ossification and your Cooldown Reduction gets your Enhanced Bone Spirit below the 7 second CD refund on Enhanced Bone Spirit in your skill tree.

Max Essence

Maximum Essence is the highest scaling stat in the game for Bone Spirit thanks to both its direct scaling with it, Rapid Ossification lowering our cooldowns with it, and Melted Heart of Selig doubling our Maximum Essence. It is worth getting it wherever you can.

Essence Generation

It was explained before, but its so important to the build that I wanted it to have its own section again to emphasize.

Uniques

Path of Trag'Oul: Extra Ranks of Bone Spirit, Maximum Essence, and additional armor just makes these irreplaceable.

Blood Moon Breeches: Massive Crit damage multiplier. The crit chance also helps reach 100% crit chance.

Shroud of False Death: 1 to all passives as well as a high HP and all stat roll makes this item give way too much tankiness and damage to pass up.

Crown of Lucion: This gives one of the highest damage bonuses we can get, and without any of the downsides as we're already spending all our essence. It even has cooldown reduction on it!

Mythic Priority Order

Melted Heart of Selig > Shroud of False Death

Elixirs

If you need more of any specific resistance or armor, use those elixirs first. Once your armor capped and resistance capped, look to use the Elixir of Resourcefulness for 25 extra maximum resource. There is no other Elixir you want to use, this is that strong.

Incenses

For incense you have a couple of options, depending on what your character needs.

Core Stat

  • Sage's Whisper: Generally the best option as it gives the most amount of damage.
  • Spiral Morning: Not a bad alternative, as the all stat gives some armor and also helps hit breakpoints in paragon tree. Only use if there's specific paragon nodes you're trying to reach.

Resistance

  • Soothing Spices: Best all around option as it gives +10% all resistances and +2% max resistance to everything. Only use another option if needed to hit resistance caps.

Defensive

  • Song of the Mountain: Great early game option for the +300 Armor
  • Reddamine Buzz: Gives +750hp, best option if you are already armor capped.

Mercenary

In general Subo gives the most damage via high uptime on Cover Fire. However if you are low on resistances you can pick up Raheir for a smaller amount of damage but lots of all res. For our support we are always using Varyana with Bloodthirst for extra attack speed.

FAQ

Cold Mage vs Shadow Mage Sacrifice

If you can completely refill your Essence on each cast then Shadow Mage Sacrifice is more damage, however if you are not then Cold Mage is better.
