Elixirs and Incenses

ElixirElixir of Advantage
Core IncenseSpiral Morning
Defensive IncenseReddamine Buzz

It's important to run Elixirs and Incenses at all times. Not only because they increase your Experience gain but also because they provide very strong combat boosts.

We use Elixir of Advantage for Attack Speed and Spiral Morning for All Stats.

Varyana (Secondary)

We take Varyana as our Secondary for the Attack Speed.

How it Plays

The following steps are the recommended Build Rotation for skill usage:

  • Cast Fanaticism Aura and Defiance Aura to activate Resplendence.
  • Cast Arbiter of Justice to grant Arbiter bonuses.
  • Cast Rally to generate Faith.
  • Cast Falling Star to position and Generate Resource through Moni + Lum.
  • Spam Shield Bash.

How it Works

Core Mechanics

This Shield Bash Paladin uses the following:

  • The Juggernaut Oath
    • Combined with Mantle of the Grey, Maximum Resolve and Resolve Generated for incredible damage.
  • Arbiter of Justice for access to Arbiter Synergies.
    • Aspect of Celestial Strife and Aspect of Ascension are big damage boosts.
  • Argent Veil to cast Shield Bash when we Evade.
    • Aspect of the Arbiter's Zephyr and Attacks Reduce Evade Cooldown to Evade as often as possible.
  • Falling Star for Insane Mobility.
  • Rally to sustain our Faith.
  • 100% Block from Shield and Passives.
  • Unstoppable from Defiance Aura.
  • As much Attack Speed as possible through Equipment, Skills and Passives.
  • As much Cooldown Reduction as possible through Equipment, Skills and Passives.
  • Reaching 100% Critical Chance through Equipment, Tempers & Sanctifications.

Runes

Moni + Lum is used to help generate Faith. Once we find we are fine on Faith without it, we can swap Lum to Thul for Vulnerable, CC for Dizzying Blow and [x]15% damage.

We can also use Moni + Que for more survivability.

Early on, use Cir + Gar for Critical Strike Chance, once we get Heir of Perdition we can swap this out.

Why are we taking Rite of Might, how are we generating Resolve?

We generate Resolve with the Courage Passive that is granted to us by Shroud of False Death.

Alternatively, on some builds we generate it more consistently with Clash or Fortress.

Where are we getting Fortified from?

  • To count as being Fortified, any amount of Fortification will do.
  • We boost the Fortified amount with some magic nodes on Preacher.
  • Raheir, your mercenary, also provides a bit of Fortify through his ability.
  • Renewal gives Fortify and is provided by Shroud of False Death for free.
