Whirlwind

This guide is work in progress and more updates are coming in as we get more information closer to the Lord of Hatred launch.

The Whirlwind Barbarian relies only on the damage from Whirlwind It does not get damage from Lucky Hit or Earthquakes. The Earthquakes are only used to buff Whirlwind Damage. It is designed to clear Torment 4 overworld activities such as Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, The Undercity and more.

Whirlwind Rotation

• Cast Rallying Cry
• Hold down Whirlwind
• Use War Cry, Challenging Shout and Call of the Ancients at the same time
• Cast War Cry and Challenging Shout on cooldown

Build Overview

This build runs relies on Rallying Cry to give us insane amounts of movement speed and Fury Generation. All the damage we use to increase Whirlwind also increases Tornado Whirlwind. We gain those damage increases from Mighty Roar War Cry, Damage Bonus Challenging Shout and Damage Bonus Call of the Ancients with Attack Speed and Damage Bonus Call of the Ancients. All of this combines together for some massive damage!

Arsenal Selection

This build will be running on a Dual wield set up. You will need one One-handed Axe and one One-handed Sword. This will be selected for Whirlwind . This will allow you to take advantage of the Two-handed Polearm.

Fury Management

Affixes

• Resource Generation will help increase the amount of Fury you gain and pairs really well with Rallying Cry.
• Weapon swapping from Weapons Master combined with the massive Fury Generation we have is great for supplemental generation when needed. Tap Lunging Strike when yourFury starts to dip and it will fill back up.
• Do not spam Whirlwind if you are not near monsters if you can't maintain Fury.
